This 2015 Audi A3 had a P00AF code and was sputtering on acceleration. Very common for the turbo wastegates to fail on these 2.0 tsi engines. The wastegate rod had play with the engine off. Engine on before it warmed up. I moved the flap and the idle would change.

Giving it throttle in this video you can clearly hear the wastegate rod rattling which is a tell tale sign of a bad turbo. Unfortunately the wastegates on these cars are electronic/integrated to the turbo so it needs completely replaced.

More happy customers out the door this week. Had a vw tdi in for a lookover and diagnosis of a rear suspension noise. Turned out to be the rear shocks creaking. Other than the duralast rear shocks the car checked out ok.

A friend of mine was trying to fix his car to save some money. Unfortunately he started struggling and needed my assistance. Brought the mazda 3 by so I could finnish the work it needed for inspection. New front shock, new lower control arms, and a new abs sensor.

Lastly had a big diagnosis job. 2015 vw passat had multiple codes and an EPC light on. Misfire on all 4 cylinders, evap code, bank 1 sensor 2 oxygen sensor, air intake leak, 3 different camshaft codes, and a boost pressure sensor fault.

Started by checking out the plugs/coils and turned out they were very worn. Replaced those then started the car to see how it reacted. Still had a very sporadic idle. I know these cars have tendencies for the evap purge valve and pcv system to fail. I started there next.

Hooked up my scan tool and commanded the purge valve to activate but it didnt register. Then I loosened the oil filter cap to see if the idle would change drastically. It got way worse so that told me the pcv system had a bad diaphragm. Took the car on a test drive after clearing the codes. It was still acting up.

Let it sit and idle for a good 15 minutes then took it out again after noticing the idle smoothed itself out. The passast was running like it should again and must have needed time to warm up/figure itself out after putting good parts on it.

Getting more and more new customers each week. Loving the progress with the business recently. Im almost always at my shop every weekday after work and on the weekends. I hope the momentum keeps going!

Had this car dropped off last week when the owner went on vacation for some major labor. Could've had this done in 1 day on a weekend or 2 to 3 weekdays but thankfully wasn't in a rush to get it back so I was able to pick at it throughout the week aswell as get some small jobs done in-between. Made sure to get it done for them as soon as they returned which was this evening. All wheel bearings were replaced front and rear, diagnosed/repaired an oil leak coming from the lower oil pan gasket. Changed the oil and filter. Also gave the car a good lookover and tire rotation.

Dont take your Audi or VW to the dealership unless you like paying outrageous prices and waiting a week plus to get your car looked at/ back. I can get you sorted and you will be much happier going through me!

Had a customer drop off this 07 trailblazer for an oil pressure sensor, oil change and a new right front axle cause of how bad the boot was ripped today. Got it done and back to him in 2.5 hours! I do good work and quick. I dont charge a arm and a leg either. Think of Thiessen AutoWorks next time you need repairs or diagnosis on your vehicle!
