It was another good week here at calumet classics. We sent the cab for the 63 chevy c10 out to sandblasting and applied final primer to the 70 mustang body, doors and fenders. Thanks for the help Nick Alexander

Another big day. These panels are all blocked out and ready for final primer. Next step is to pull it all apart and prep backsides and jambs to get an application of primer as well.

Thanks to Justin Hunt for letting me give the Lucky Blocks a test drive They worked really well. You really cant go wrong with any of the acrylic blocks available

When it comes to these classic vehicles, things are not always as they seem. This can be especially true when they have been worked on or "repaired" at any point in their past. These are examples of rust hidden under previous repairs. We will get this 63 chevy back into the condition it deserves as its an easy repair with some sandblasting and new sheetmetal welded into place rather than the pop rivets and glue that was previous used

I had a couple of wheels that had some curb rash on them and the cost to replace was outrageous. I reached out to Alex at Alloy wheel repair specialists to see if a repair was possible. He brought his equipment to me and knocked it out of the park. I am very peticular and have an eye for these type of things, and in all honesty, I can't tell where the damage was. Super nice guy, very affordable pricing and impressive quality.

A couple weeks ago, we went to La Crosse, WI. While we were there, we made a stop at the Dahl Auto Museum. Definitely worth the stop if you find yourself in La Crosse! Here's some info from their site:
"The Dahl Auto Museum in La Crosse, Wisconsin, showcases the history of the automobile through the lens of the Dahl family's five generations in the Ford business, featuring about 20 classic and antique cars, a Ford mascot collection, and a tribute to the Starlite Drive-in Theatre. It highlights the Dahl Automotive family's history with Ford since 1911, with exhibits ranging from early horseless carriages to muscle cars, and includes educational components for groups."

It might be difficult to see what's going on here. The fender, door and quarter had a severe crown to them. It was something I couldn't let go. To steal a term from Derek Hall,, it looked like a banana. Well, the banana has been removed. And this 70 mustang will end up yellow when painted, so, no bananas wanted.
