Aloha,

The last few years have taught me that when it is our time to leave this world, no one can stop it. We have one life to live. The material things we invest in are left behind, only to be discarded. Memories are important to me. I'm going to start a "reunion of friends." The idea is to see who reads a post without a picture. This will be a very short experiment if no one reads my post. Congrats to you young lady! My grandpa was a chief Petty officer in WWII in the Seebees. They built a lot of the Pacific bases during the war. Loved my grandpa! Just saying. Ketch 💕✌️👍🍺😎🤠

This was my beautiful wife this past January getting ready to go in to take her exam for Chief Petty Officer. She was in between chemo rounds, and fighting fatigue, chemo sickness and chemo brain. When she got home and I asked her how she did, she said “I prayed my way through the exam so it’s all in God’s hands.” Today, the Navy publicly released the advancement results for Chief Petty Officer and she was selected! For those of you that don’t know, being selected for Chief is a huge milestone in her career. I am SO proud of her! This year has been a tough one on her, but she never stopped fighting. She always relied on her faith. She never gave up. She is a true FIGHTER. Congratulations, Chief Select. I’m proud of you and I love you! ♥️

Giving thanks. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Ketch

This wild Kingfisher's grandparent, I found in the garden, nearly dead, some years ago. Nursed him back to health, and set him free. The next morning, the family swooped down, past me, in gratitude.
A couple of years later, I awoke to find the next generation, a parent of this bird, waiting for me on the terrace, his wing seemed broken. I picked him up and examined him. He never flinched, and stared deeply into my eyes. A thorn had locked his wing from operating. I pulled it out, and set him free. Without fail, he passes my window every day at the same time, crying out to me.
This baby, sat in the tree, eye to eye with me, then flew directly to my hand, and sat there for several minutes, before flying away.
Intuition, compassion, good intent, those essences of love, was all we had. Pure, unspoken.
An energy that has no end, and passes silently onward, much further than we can imagine
