The survival Rule of 3s is a simple reminder of how quickly priorities can change when something goes wrong:

- 3 minutes without air or with a life-threatening emergency.
- 3 hours without adequate shelter in extreme conditions.
- 3 days without water.
- 3 weeks without food.

Which brings us to today's Trail Tip: when was the last time you checked your first aid kit?

Having one in your rig is a great start, but supplies can expire and things you’ve used don't always get replaced. Need help? We'd love to update your kit!

Before your next trip, open it up. Check expiration dates. Restock what's missing. And make sure it's somewhere you can actually reach when you need it.

Preparation isn't about expecting something to go wrong. It's about being ready if it does.

Operation Veterans Campout Update 🏕️

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Operation Campout.

With the extreme heat, ongoing smoke, and nearby wildfire activity, we want to make sure we’re putting the safety and experience of our Recon community first. These are conditions we simply can’t control, and we’d rather make the call now than move forward with an event that isn’t the experience we want to provide.

We know many of you were looking forward to getting outside, camping, and spending the weekend together, and we were too.

This isn’t the end of Operation Veterans Campout or our community events. We have plenty more adventures ahead, and we’re already looking forward to getting everyone together again when the conditions are right.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for being part of the Recon community. We’ll see you on the next adventure! 🏕️
