🌟 Urgent Plea for Support - Please SHARE! 🌟
Hey everyone,
I hope this post finds you all in good health. Today, I'm reaching out with a personal and urgent plea for support regarding our incredible friend, Anna. Anna and Bill joined our RV park when we first opened. Anna worked in the office for a time and Bill works for us on our Maintenance team. Here is a little history about Anna:
In 2000, Anna's life took an unexpected turn when she discovered she had PKD after brain aneurysm surgery. Recognizing the hereditary nature of PKD during a challenging six-year recovery, she has diligently followed a dietician’s advice for 21 years. In 2019, her nephrologist initiated the transplant process, but a breast cancer diagnosis delayed completion until December 2021, when she began nightly PD at home – an exhaustive process.
Having witnessed her family's struggles, Anna became determined to pursue kidney transplantation. However, they've faced challenges with potential donors, and each day brings uncertainty, making it difficult for them to plan activities together.
The dependency on daily dialysis is restricting Anna's active lifestyle, impacting the joy of activities she once relished. Most of Anna's family members cannot donate due to the hereditary nature of PKD.
A living donor represents Anna's best hope for a lifesaving transplant, and we are hopeful that someone reading her story will feel inspired to step forward. 🙏
