JD is back in action behind the wheel of the Larry Gallipo-owned Bicknell!

Jimmy brought their freshly assembled car to JAM Performance for some final adjustments before his debut Friday night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway.

🏁 RACE PREPPED 🏁

Monday, Mr. C***s dropped his race car off for a complete weekly race prep. Our goal is simple—go through the car from front to back so when it rolls into the trailer, the team can head to the track with confidence.

We completed a full race preparation:
✔ Car and tires cleaned
✔ Complete nut-and-bolt check
✔ Air filter cleaned and re-oiled
✔ All fluids checked
✔ Brakes inspected
✔ Front and rear end inspected
✔ Driveline inspected
✔ Shocks checked over
✔ All rod ends cleaned and lubed
✔ Tires prepped
✔ Car scaled and springs smashed

Craig also had a few other areas of concern that we were able to take care of. While going through the car, we identified a few additional areas where improvements could be made and went over those with him.

This is what our weekly maintenance program is all about. Catching problems before they become problems at the track, keeping the car maintained, and continuing to work toward a faster, more consistent race car.

🏁 THE STRUGGLE IS REAL 🏁

It’s no secret that Scott Bennett and the team have been riding the struggle bus the last few weeks.

This week wasn’t a win — but it was a hard-fought podium finish at Albany-Saratoga Speedway and a big step back in the right direction. 👊

After a few weeks of fighting the car and honestly pulling their hair out, Scott reached out to JAM Performance for some help.

We brought the car into the shop and went through it front to back.

🔧 Corrected floor slider issues
🔧 Changed rod angles
🔧 Corrected shock droops
🔧 Re-scaled the car
🔧 Spring smashing
🔧 Established a solid baseline setup

From there, Scott and the team went to the track and made small, calculated changes throughout the night to keep up with the changing track conditions — and the results showed.

There’s still work to do. Scott will continue tweaking the chassis as conditions change, while also adjusting his driving to stay sharp and get everything he can out of the race car.

That’s racing. Sometimes you don’t need to reinvent everything — you need to get back to a good baseline and start making the right changes.
