Well I’ll tell you… not a real party! Virtually every event in life worth celebrating is worth celebrating with a cake. And when that cake is a perfect custom centerpiece that accents your occasion like no other, it must be a Tinman cake. I, like many decorators, first got started by taking a couple local introductory cake decorating classes with the intention of doing wedding cakes as a side bus

iness. Also at that time, cake Tv shows like “cake boss” and “ace of cakes” were just becoming popular. So after learning the basics, and seeing what was possible on Tv, there was nothing I couldn’t learn to do. I do cakes and treats for all occasions, but I specialize in custom 3Dimensional cakes. Cakes that stand up, ride on tires, with extreme attention to detail. However, I feel my true place in the baking world is to make my art available to everyone. If you don’t have an endless budget to spend on cake, and if you don’t have an aunt willing to work for free, that’s where I come in. Every bride deserves a gorgeous wedding cake, and every kid deserves a cool smash cake on their 1st birthday. And I price my work so that anybody can enjoy it. I also believe that if your not givin your not livin. So I try as hard as I can to make my work available to benefits and fundraisers, be it cupcakes, cake pops, or an auctionable cake. I’ve divided my cake pictures as best I could into categories for easy viewing, but I’m sure you’ll see that some of the themes fit into multiple categories or were a category all their own. Enjoy and keep life sweet.

It's been almost 2 years since I've posted any cake pics and here's why. My 2021 calendar is almost booked solid already even without advertising. I have decided to take on a few less cakes and build in some me time but regardless, the pandemic just didn't seem to effect me. For this reason, if you are an up and comer cake decorator and you need some referrals, message me along with some pics of your work. Ppl will ask me all the time who I recommend and I need to see your quality before Im willing to say this person is good.
With that being said, here comes some cake pics!

That's it, game over, SOLD OUT! The Tinman's sponge candy factory is closing down until next year. Another record was broke and reset this year with 269lbs of candy made in 3 weeks! I wish I could keep going but I hit my limit. Any orders that were in already will be filled of coarse, I'm just not taking any new ones. I hope everyone has a great holiday season and I wish everyone much better luck for 2021. Stay tuned because I have a whole library of photos of my cake work that I hopefully will be getting posted soon. Thank you to all my customers and fans for letting me do what I really enjoy doing. Goodnight until until next time.

After one s***show of a year, sponge candy is back!!! Nothing says goodbye to 2020 like a lb of the Tinman's annual sponge candy. As with every year, it comes in either milk, dark, or white chocolate and is $10 for a lb or $9 per for multiple lbs.
To order you can comment on this thread or DM me. Simply let me know what flavor and how many lbs you'd like. If we've never done business before, message me a phone number or the best way to reach you when your order is filled. If you need it by a certain date, let me know or else it's a first come first serve basis starting dec 1st.
And nothing says 2020 like a follow up WARNING. Currently through my job I am covid tested twice a week. So far so good but if I ever come up positive, my candy factory will be shutdown for the year so order early!

I've done a lot of dino cakes but this might be my current favorite. Rice krispy Dino head, modeling chocolate buttercream blend for the shell, and a chocolate krispy/chow mein blend for the nest. Cake inside of coarse.

Anyway, its looking like another rainy weekend so a nice bottle of Johnny Walker Black seemed appropriate:) Also, catch me tomorrow at Crapo Park for Pride in the Park!
