Happy Monday BV! Hoping everyone had a great weekend and a nice start to March.
We just want to take a minute for some sincere gratitude towards this town, its community, and our neighbors.
McNeil Motor Cars was voted Buena Vista's favorite auto repair shop last year in 2024. Somehow, some way, you all voted that same way in 2025 🎉
To some, awards and votes like this don't mean much. To us, small town minded, blue collar folks, this means the world. Myself and my wife Krista (That Detail Girl) wanted to be here due to the small town atmosphere and the awe inspiring landscape. We came from rural Missouri, where the only thing you can rely on is a handshake and someone's word. We try to operate our business under those same guidelines: mean what you say and follow through.
Winning the award in 2024 seemed like pure luck, as there are so many phenomenal spots for automotive repair and maintenance in BV. Winning the award back to back over two consecutive years seems less like luck, and more like appreciation. That is a hard one for us to grasp. While I believe in our precision and passion, I never expect anyone else to appreciate the work that goes into said precision and passion, but it seems like this town does 🖤

Those are the three things we strive to provide as business owners. While I know most of you love same day oil changes and budget conscious repairs, I genuinely believe the only reason we are in business and are allowed to continue being in business is in how we treat our clientele.

If you're looking for a shop that treats everyone like an individual, a community member, a friend, that's our goal. Vehicles come and go, they're replaceable. Relationships and help when you need it most are priceless. Our hope is not to just take care of your cars, it's to help take care of your family, schedule, and your community.
