AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM TEXPRO AUTO & DIESEL REPAIR
After much consideration, we have decided that our Lincoln Navigator will be our final vehicle giveaway to the general public for the foreseeable future.
Before we ever started giving vehicles away, several fellow business owners warned us against doing it. They told us that generosity can sometimes create entitlement, and that eventually people would begin expecting things for free. Unfortunately, we're beginning to understand exactly what they meant.
When we came to Brownwood, we wanted to be more than just another repair shop. We wanted to give back, help families, support our local communities, and make a genuine difference.
What we never intended was to create the expectation that we should work for free.
Lately, we've encountered an increasing number of people bringing us vehicles with years of wear, neglect, and mechanical problems, only to become upset when they learn that diagnosing and repairing those vehicles costs money. Some then take their frustrations to Google, leaving damaging reviews that we believe do not fairly represent our business or the work we perform.
It's discouraging, and frankly, it's hurtful.
We employ local people, support local families, invest heavily in equipment and training, and stand behind our repairs with a 3-year/36,000-mile nationwide warranty. None of that is free.
Our generosity should never be mistaken for an obligation.
We genuinely appreciate the overwhelming majority of our customers who support us, respect our employees, and recognize the effort we put into both our business and our community. You are the reason we've grown so quickly, and the reason we've been able to give back in the first place.
We will absolutely follow through with our Lincoln Navigator giveaway, just as we have with every vehicle before it.
Our hope is that one day we can resume these giveaways, when expectations are more realistic and generosity is appreciated rather than expected.
However, when we do resume vehicle giveaways, eligibility will be limited to existing TexPro customers in good standing. We believe it's only right that the people who genuinely support our business, trust us with their vehicles, and help make our community involvement possible should be the ones who benefit from these opportunities.
Until then, we'll continue doing what we do best: providing honest, professional automotive repair and supporting our community wherever we reasonably can.
