Psalm 37:4 Let us delight today and every day!!!

There are two ways to look at this scripture, which says, “delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desire of your heart.” The first is that God changes our desires as we delight ourselves in Him. The second is that God blesses our dreams and desires as we delight in Him (knowing it would be impossible to continue to take pleasure in God if our desires were destructive or sinful.

One of the Hebrew definitions of “delight” is to be “soft and pliable.” This is the opposite of the hardening of our hearts. We keep our hearts soft by developing intimacy with our Lord and by responding with delight, hope, and faith when His Word is ministered to us. Let us delight today!
