Fellow RVers on my experience if you are buying a used RV in Florida and you only can inspect 2 things, my choice would be the Roof including the repairs done to it & the Air Conditioning, if you already bought it, have a tech check this two things, it is really sad when I get hired for new owners and the damage is already there, on this case a repair with wrong materials turned into a waterfall leak on the slide out, the second picture is a restoration of the repair with long lasting materials, self leveling sealant on the edges of the tape, and RV roof tape, for the record gorilla tape won’t last on a RV roof.
The appliances can be replaced or fixed, but a hidden leak can create mold and that is a silent killer of you health and your RV www.waterdogrvservices.com

Some Solar panels could be damage by the sun & dirt before their time, maintenance is key, also a good installation require Butyl tape on the screws anchor area to avoid water intrusion, on this case even the connectors got fried by the sun, I also limited the water access underneath the panel that was also a problem the way it drained out off the roof, www.waterdogrvservices.com

Small branch made a tiny hole that softened the wood (particle board of the roof)and crack the seal on the conner, the leak wasn’t visible from inside, one ft x half ft of the wood needed to be replace it, RV roof inspections are important before is too late….don’t wait for the rainy season to find out

It is that time of the Year when suddenly the AC of your rv can’t keep up with the heat, It is the time to make sure is clean, a professional service will check all the components to make sure is efficient, lower the temperature is not the answer you are only pushing your compressor without other result than shortening its life

Pressure Cleaning your RV is not always a good Idea, soap and water and rinse with a hose is more safe for your seals, your refrigerator vents are designed to protect the vent from rain washing down the walls, they are not designed to receive a direct hit from the water hose or water pressure in an angle from down up, this is one example why… this circuit board is a Good quality one, the bottom left corner shows a circuit burn after a drop of water got there and made a short, other refrigerator brand have also a safety device that gets short out and needs to be reset hopefully before you realize your food is ruined.
Remember if you are washing your RV make sure the water hit the vents like RAIN from the sky

Sometimes fellow RVer’s or Techs will give recommendations about your tires, “get the right pressure before you go”, “check for cracks” “cover them from the sun exposure” change them every 5 year” or make sure sure are not more than 5 years old if the RV is new to you” “ have a TPMs” this is why!
