Sounds Incredible Mobile

The INEOS Grenadier keeps finding its way into our shop — and we keep finding new ways to make it sound incredible. 🎵

This build features a MATCH UP6DSP powering Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 MKII up front and 402 MKII in the rear, with a Helix IK S8-DVC sub tucked away under the rear seat. Dynamat in the doors to clean up road noise and give those Morels a proper acoustic environment to work in. Oh — and rear heated seats with a custom switch insert because details matter. 🔥

“Freakin’ laser beams.” 😈🔴

John used our new xTool P2S laser cutter to fabricate a custom insert for the remote bass k**b on this 2026 Audi RS3 — complete with an Audi logo, cut from black acrylic to match the interior perfectly.

This was just one small, but satisfying detail in a full audio overhaul.

Helix V Eighteen DSP, Sony Mobile ES XS-690ES 6x9s, Helix IK ES10.1 subwoofer and 192 custom solder connections later — this RS3 finally sounds as good as it drives.

The INEOS Grenadier is built for the apocalypse — but its cabin sounds like one too. 🔊

We recently completed a full sound dampening + audio upgrade on this ultimate bug out vehicle, and the transformation was serious.


📦 Phase 1: Full cabin Dynamat Xtreme + Dynaliner treatment — doors, roof, floor, B, C & D-pillars, center console, rear cargo. (~30 hours of work)

🔊 Phase 2: Morel Elate Carbon Pro 62A components up front, Morel Hybrid Integra 42s in the rear powered by a Helix V Eight DSP Ultimate along with TWO Morel Ultimo PowerSlim 12” Subwoofers in a custom enclosure powered by a Helix P One MK2.


The result? Quiet as a panic room, sounds like a concert hall. 🎶.

This location is part of our 💧Aquifer Protection Area, in an R-40 Residential zone AND flood area. There are numerous reasons this is the wrong location for such a facility.

🥳 It’s a new year and we are ready for new challenges! 💪 As we say goodbye to 2025 I want to highlight one of the most technically challenging installations projects that John has taken on.

He recently wrapped this 2007 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and I am so proud of the work he did in this vehicle. Together we designed a system that not only looks amazing, but it sounds incredible 😁

Although we completed a similar upgrade earlier this year, this model was very different because it came equipped with the navigation radio. I literally could not find ONE example of a single person or shop successfully replacing the radio in this trim level so I had a lot of trepidation before starting this project.

The navigation radio is actually part of the network in the car. Removing it would cause errors on the dash. To add wireless Apple CarPlay, a front & rear camera, we had to keep the original stereo in place.

John fabricated a custom bezel for the Kenwood DAX800XR 8” touch screen with a modular hideaway brain. We also upgraded the front dash speakers, rear deck speakers & rear cabin speakers. We used Morel Virtus Nano Carbon powered by a Helix V Eighteen DSP & UP1FX for the two factory .5 ohm subwoofers.

Each speaker needed a custom designed 3D printed mounting adapter. The hand crafted custom amp rack was intended to fit both amps with a clean & simple access cover blending in with the existing trunk design.

Inside the interior a custom insert was fabricated to replace the ashtray. This new trim piece provided a convenient location for a volume k**b, USB C input & remote bass k**b.

The end result is a superior audio system filled with all the detail, nuance and punch one could desire packed with all the modern creature comfort tech we’ve all grown accustomed to. The best part is it was executed in a classy and understated manner. Way to go John! Love ya babe 😘 Keep up the amazing work and here’s to an amazing 2026!

🔉This week in the shop - This Land Rover Defender 110 with Meridian sound was in need of an audio upgrade. It came in sounding mediocre and went out sounding amazing. Technician John executed this expert installation using:

⦁ Helix V Twelve DSP 12-channel 900 watt RMS amplifier
⦁ UP1FX 600 watt RMS mono amplifier
⦁ Morel Hybrid 63 3-way components
⦁ Morel Hybrid 62 2-way components
⦁ Morel Ultimo 12” PowerSlim 600 watt subwoofer
⦁ 72 sq ft of Dynamat Xtreme + Dynaliner

John had a chance to use put his new Bambu Labs 3D printer to work crafting a trim ring for the client’s existing CB radio and designing a custom insert for the Helix Conductor DSP control k**b + accessory lighting control.

The best part about this build? Unless you listened to it, you would never know this equipment had been added 😎
