Finn Barrone is a little boy out of Bronson that has donated different items to the Branch County Veterans Affairs office for the last year. It started with collecting school bags and school items, then it was Christmas presents and lastly, he donated food items for the Union City survivors. This time, he's wanting to do a Coat drive to give back to our vets and their families. The Branch County Veterans Affairs Office has challenged the American Legion posts in Branch County to a friendly competition.
Here are the details:
Who: Finn Barrone, Branch County Veterans Affairs, Branch County American Legion posts
What: Weeklong coat drive "competition" between each Legion post in the county. Coats will be distributed to local veterans and families that need them
When: 10/12/2026 - 10/16/2026
Where: Collections will be made at each post and/or at Branch County Veterans Affairs (will need to identify which post). On Friday, all the coats will be brought to the Veterans Affairs office after the monthly board meeting. They'll tally up the total amount of coats from each post. Winning post will get bragging rights and a certificate from Finn.
We'll have a collection box at the Legion starting October 10th.
