Stay safe folks, Oklahoma weather in bound. Hopefully the 1/8th inch steel we found will fix this bottom piece and I need a cherry picker or bucket truck to fix the rest.

This sign was commissioned and built by my Grandpa in the 1950s. My son and I noticed some rust and the next thing we know we have a coffee can size hole and about a 30 year old birds nest we had to clean out that caused the rust/rot. There was enough dirt the bird carried up to fill up a pot for plants. Right now I am not for sure how to fix it, but I definitely do not want any new birds getting in the new rusted out spot. I am guessing it was missed or overlooked by the folks that moved the sign for us 18 years ago. All over with but the shouting, now I got to figure out how to fix it.
