It is with a heavy heart that Dana's Automotive Inc. Is closing it's doors for good. We will be selling shop equipment on (marketplace) and selling/giving away office equipment and tid bits. I cannot have any of the items come home with me as I am getting ready to sell my house in the spring.
Rob is looking for a new building and is keeping Dana's name alive by keeping his name on what ever building he finds and will have the same phone number so everyone can find him, he is looking for a cheaper shop than this one (5,525.00) month, If you hear or see any open 2 bay garages for sale/rent please contact me and I will call Rob. Kevin is hoping to go with Rob, if that doesn't work out they will both be looking for new positions.
My heartfelt THANK YOU goes out to each and every one of you for working with us all these years. The shop was Dana's dream and I of course stood with him in pride. Dana and I talked before he passed away and he knew I didn't want to carry on, unfortunately I didn't have closing for good was my intention. I'm told things happen for a reason, God has a plan for my next journey ? I am patiently waiting...

Well it's been a year 1/2 since my partner, my love, a piece of my heart is gone. I miss you so much Dana I know we'll meet again. Please take care of our daughter Holly, I miss her terribly 😔. The 8 months she has been gone has been a blur, I go through the motions but not with alot of feelings. The only way I'm able to go on is because she's with her dad.

Dana's Automotive is still running strong, not because of me but all efforts, responsibility, and pride are from Rob the top mechanic and Kevin top notch as well. I Thank God they didn't give up on Dana's, without these guys the business would have folded

To all our customers who have been so loyal and to all the new and up coming customers, you could not be treated any better and with such grace.

Please know I'm still trying to figure out my future, a future of walking alone. The loneliness doesn't get any better, however I am making new steps. I will be in the office more in the future, I lost my way but I'm trying.

Thank you to all family, customers and friend's for hanging in there.. it's all of you that make the difference

Ok my friends and family, don't know where to start. Those who know me know I'm a straight shooter. No secret that my daughter has been struggling with the drug fentynol, as a mother... I thought the bond Holly and I had we could get through ANYTHING. HOLLY (30) had been struggling again 3 weeks after Dana passed away. We did rehabs, we did NO money, we did NO access to phones but a drug addict will always lie, cheat and steal (from me) to get her way..

Holly and I lost our fight to the drug on Monday 7/11/22. I am devastated, my heart is broken, I don't know what to say or do. Friends and family have been more than great !

My daughter Holly turned 31 7/2. Holly's services will be at Cartwright Funeral Home in Holbrook on S. Franklin St. Visiting hours ONLY 4-7 P.M on Friday 7/22/22. Thank you, please know tomorrow is never promised - live for today. God Bless w

Not only has it been a little over a month since I lost the love of my life but one of my best friends of 39 plus years Debbie Paquette-Stanovitch passed away Tuesday. The friendship Dana and I had with Debbie has many many great memories. Debbie leaves behind 2 adult boys she loved more than life. I still feel like Dana is in the hospital and every decision I make I think "oh Dana will be mad when he comes home". It is so hard going through the day without talking to him, we were always together 24/7. Dana always wanted me by his side. I miss and love you Dana so much, please show me a sign you are always around me..

"Dr. Watson (Dana) has been signed up for Hospice on Friday. Dana is still delirious, he needs 24 hour care now. It's so hard watching this strong man slowly deteriorate. Dana is a fighter, he was diagnosed with Liver cancer 6/17/19 and was given 13 months to live. We take every day as a blessing especially the birth of our Grandson Luka 9/17/20 (happy birthday).

Dana's Automotive is NOT going anywhere, Rob has taken over the reigns and has been an Angel sent from Heaven. Rob also brought us Kevin who quickly became a part of Dana's family. I can't express how much I appreciate them while going through this rough journey. I will try to get to the shop when I have coverage for Dana at home. A couple people asked for our home address to send a card: Dana Watson 6 West St Holbrook MA. 02343.

So Dana had his Liver Embalization on Wednesday August 11th, the Dr. Let him go home same day!!. You would think that this was a good idea if Dana was feeling OK but.... because of this procedure he was delirious for 5 days at home. That meant following him around the whole time, he mumbled when he talked, not that he was even in this universe. He could not pick up anything cause it would drop as he would nod off. Finally Dana's VNA assistant called Oncologist on Monday Aug 16th and was told to go to emergency. When Dana registered at Good Sam's his blood pressure was like 72/56 !!. He was eventually transferred to St
Elizabeth. He was delirious the whole time... It wasn't Dana.

So we come to this Monday the 23rd, I call him and NO more mumbling, memory is back and he's coming home today!! I really really thought we were going to lose him. I totally belive in the word of prayer. Thank you all !!

Corona or Covid 19 whateva ya want to call it has disrupted all of our lives in one way or another. Dana's Automotive took a pretty big hit when they shut down the state, people weren't driving or if they did it was directly to Work (if lucky enough to still have a job) the Supermarket or for prescriptions. As you know things have let up a little, we have been getting a few more cars here and there but it's just not the same. Alot of you guys continue to work from home and I am very happy you who like it, get to still do it. Those that wanna get away from home school and kids are up sh*ts creak without a paddle (sorry).

Dana really hasn't been back to work for about a month now, his pain is being taken care of by Palliative care now and they are just trying to keep him comfortable. He is also getting IV Iron, they need to do a total of 5 bags, he's done 2 already and is scheduled for more next week and the week after. He really isn't strong enough to go into Brookline by himself anymore, thank GOD they just started letting me accompany him this week.

I'm sure you guys are asking the same question as I am about the future of the shop. I DON'T KNOW... If it doesn't get any busier the decision might be made for us, I personally want to continue with the GREAT technicians we have now. Rob as most of you know has been with us for a long time, he has and is my right hand man. Rob is a jack of all trades and a master at a whole hell of alot of things!! We have a new tech Kevin who has been with us for about 3 weeks, he is a childhood friend of Rob's and has proven himself pretty quick. Rob and Kevin commute from Worcester morning and night, they get along great and just bounce repair ideas off of each other.

I don't know what the future holds, it's been difficult watching such a strong man lose his stamina. Dana tells me he's "definitely going to work tomorrow" but I know what happens. In the morning he gets so upset with himself for not being able to even get dressed without running out of energy.

I hope this note finds all of you well, I pray for your family and friends that have and are going through this pandemic. I pray for the thousands lost. May 2021 be all that you dreamed of, 2020 is GONE. all my love Carol
