Here at ECM we specialize in many types of Restorations, but the one that is highly regarded, is a Nut & Bolt, Concors Back-To-Original Restoration. Simply because that style of Restoration is fading away, Restomod's are awesome and fun to work on, but there aren't too many people that want to do a Back-To-Original Restoration. We are currently looking to hire a full-time experienced Automotive Restoration Technician/Auto Body Technician here at Eastcoast Motorsports LLC, located at 561 N. Main Street, Bristol, CT.

Automotive Restoration Technician / Auto Body Technician Requirements:

Previous experience as an automotive restoration technician / auto body technician is required and highly knowledgeable about the exterior of cars and how to work on them using the best practices. Ability to utilize a wide variety of car maintenance and repair tools. Use of welding machines to replace parts, refinish vehicles to prepare them for painting, perform body repair work, among other tasks. This involves sanding cars and ensuring that the body of the vehicle is ready to take on a new coat of paint. Experienced disassembly/assembly technician and mechanic preferred.

- Must have detailed knowledge and understanding of vehicle
structure with classic and muscle cars
- Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Must have experience in welding & fabrication, priming, mask
and tape, block sanding, suspension & chassis work
- Must have a minimum of seven (7) years experience in
automotive body work with classic cars
- Must be familiar with the characteristics of the metals and
compounds used in vehicle construction to use the correct repair
techniques, tools and materials
- Skills to dismantle and reassemble parts, using cutting tools if
necessary
- Knowledge of inspecting and repairing necessary components of
a vehicle such as motors, transmissions, radiators and belts a plus
- Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections
against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
- Must bring your own tools
- Ability to follow all workplace safety requirements
- At least seven or more years working in a similar position

Automotive Restoration Technician / Auto Body Technician Responsibilities:

- Must use knowledge and judgment to decide that a vehicle
cannot be restored to a safe condition because of serious
damage to critical structural components
- To use the full range of repair techniques
- Repair, replace, and upgrade a variety of vehicle parts
- To restore bodywork to its original condition using fillers and
body repair products to level the surface before using different
grades of sanding material to prepare the body for painting
- Knowledge to check the surface carefully for any small
imperfection before painting
- Must also be able to perform work with accuracy and to the
highest quality level; must have a high attention to detail
- Knowledge of vehicle's electrical system a plus
- The ability to work independently with little supervision and a
positive team attitude
- Employees must be available for work during normal business
hours

1967 Ford Mustang GT500 Restomod

This 67 Ford Mustang is being built as a Rotisserie Frame Off Restomod Restoration. All of the parts on this car are all original 67 Shelby parts; Fenders, Quarters, Hood, Trunk Lid, Side vents, Taillight Panel, All of the trim etc... So far we've stripped the car, had the car sent out to be media blasted, did all major metal work. We then epoxy primered the entire car and did all major body work.

The Frame/Chassis is a 64-70 Mustang SP3C Frame/Chassis from Roadster Shop Frame with 14" 6-Piston Baer Calipers/Rotors in the front and 13" 4-Piston Baer Calipers/Rotors in the rear. The engine will be a Naturally Aspirated BEAST of an engine built by Jon Kaase Racing Engines producing 812hp and 782ftlbs of tq with a T-56 Tremec 6-Speed Manual Transmission. We have just installed the frame for mock up and the engine & transmission will be arriving any day. We will be building a custom 3" exhaust, fuel system as the motor is fuel injected and custom gas tank.

1959 Edsel Ranger 4 Door Sedan

This is our newest project. This car will be restored back to original. So far we've aligned all of our gaps and stripped the hood, trunk lid, both front doors, and are starting to strip the rear doors, roof and the rest of the car. Once the entire car is stripped we are going to go over the car making sure all necessary welding is performed and then we will Epoxy Primer the car and start all necessary body work.

1955 Ford Thunderbird

This customer inherited the car from his father and was a 3 generation handed down car but was in extremely bad condition. We did a Full Frame-Off Rotisserie Restoration and brought this car back to its original beauty.
