Exited to add this brilliant helmet accessory to our catalog. The Brake Free unit instantly boosts your safety out on road in two important ways.
First, it acts as satellite running light that can be set to one of 3 modes—“full” with all LEDs active; Stealth, with just the central LEDs active; or Pulse—a combination of static center lights with slowly flashing wings. Swipe for a video demo.
Secondly, and most importantly, and where the magic happens: the unit works as a fully autonomous wireless auxiliary brake light, automatically activating when you slow down either by hitting the brakes, or even from downshifting/engine-braking.
Specifically, onboard sensors pick up inertial shifts to double-down and send full power to the full bank of 100 LEDs
It sounds complex, and it is, but the user experience couldn’t be simpler. The unit is lightweight enough you’ll forget it’s there, but as long as you remember to turn it on, it’s completely autonomous. And it just works.

A 3M adhesive mounts cleanly to 99% of helmets. Yes it comes with an alcohol swab to properly prep the surface. No, it won’t fly off if installed correctly. No, it’s not hard. And no, we didn’t read the instructions, or use the installation template, which it comes with.
Each unit comes with two styles of mounts to fine-tune the fit to your particular helmet, and we have special adapters for RF-1400 users.
