🔧 Tech Tip Wednesday 🔧

Hearing a ticking noise coming from your engine? Maybe having some engine misfires? Don’t jump to conclusions just yet 👀

A lot of people assume it’s an exhaust leak… and sometimes it is, but not always. That ticking could actually be coming from your engine’s lifters.

🛠️ What’s the difference?
• Exhaust leak: Usually louder on startup, may quiet down as the engine warms up
• Lifter tick: More consistent tapping noise that comes from inside the engine and may change with RPM

🚨 Why it matters:
Lifter noise can be caused by low oil levels, dirty oil, or internal wear. Ignoring it could lead to bigger (and more expensive) engine problems down the road.

✅ Pro Tip:
Stay on top of your oil changes and always use the correct oil, it helps keep those lifters happy and quiet!
