Itās not particularly glamorous, and a lot happens behind the scenes, but getting a farm ready for guests is a little different than getting the house ready.
Extra mowing š
Key organization
Baking šŖ
More signage
Buttoning up a few areas and finishing projects that have been sitting on the list š
Changing over guest accommodations
Stocking the Farm Shop, including a basket of my favorite farm and animal-themed books for our smaller guests to borrow š
And a whole lot of āwhile weāre here, we might as wellā¦ā
All while part of me is eyeing the flower bulbs šŖ» Iāve been longing to plant for spring. Theyāll have to wait a little longer to be tucked into the soil. šŖ
There are a hundred little things most people will never noticeāand thatās kind of the point. Weāve been checking them off one at a time, making sure the farm is ready for a busy weekend.
And when the gates opened and the guests settled in, a friend reminded me to pause and take it all in. š
Incredibly grateful to everyone who lent a hand, and to those whose idea of visiting with me lately has been chatting while we pull weeds or tackle farm tasks together.
Looking forward to making even more memories today⦠raindrops and all. š
