FIRST ENGINE INSTALL IN THE NEW MOTORHEAD BUILDING! 🔥

We had to make the first one count.

A Blueprint 525 HP LS3 is officially going into this 1969 Camaro, and here’s a little sneak peek at the Motorhead crew making it happen.

Flor and Audrey made this install look easy!

There’s something pretty special about watching the first engine get lowered into a car inside the shop we spent the last two years building.

New building.
New crew.
First engine install.

And we’re just getting started here in Palmetto. 🏁

Stay tuned — this Camaro is going to be one fun machine when we’re finished with it.

The three 82” TVs at Motorhead Customs Garage weren’t hung there just so we can argue over what to watch while we work.

We’ve said from the beginning that Motorhead isn’t going to be just another repair/restoration shop. We’re building a place for people who genuinely love classic cars, whether you own one, are restoring one, are looking for one, or just like being around them.

And did you know that Motorhead Customs is a licensed Florida dealer, we can do a whole lot more than turn wrenches.

We’ll be buying and selling classics, offering consignment services, and helping customers track down the car they’ve been looking for.

But those three big screens?

We have some ideas for those too. 😏

Imagine hanging out at Motorhead with a group of fellow car people while a dealer-only classic car auction is running live across the screens…

See something you love?

Well… having a dealer in the room might come in handy.

There may just be a way to help people get access to some incredible cars without getting hammered by the kind of buyer and seller fees you see at some of the big public auctions.

We’re not ready to give away the whole idea yet.

But we’ll say this:

Motorhead isn’t being built to be just a shop.

We want it to become a place where the local car community comes together — buy them, sell them, find them, talk about them and occasionally spend a day staring at three giant TVs yelling…

“BID!” 😂

Oh, we’re just getting started.

Well… apparently you guys actually read our Facebook posts. 😂

Over the last couple of days, we’ve had a bunch of people stop by Motorhead just because they saw our post and wanted to check out the new shop.

Some came to see what we’re building. Some came to talk cars. Some brought us projects they’ve been thinking about. And a few just wanted to see if the place looked as cool in person as it did on Facebook.

We’ve spent a long time building this place, so seeing people walk through the doors and get excited about what we’re doing here in Palmetto has been pretty damn awesome.

So to everyone who stopped in, shared the post, left a comment, told a friend, or has been following along, thank you.

And if you haven’t stopped by yet… come see us.

The doors are open, the lifts are going up, and Motorhead is officially coming to life.

1958 Corvette. 710 Horsepower bolted on an Art Morrison IRS chassis.

Yeah… this one might hurt some feelings in this part of town. 😎

We’re wrapping up the body modifications on this ’58 Corvette, and let’s just say this is not going to be your average restomod.

She’s getting an Art Morrison IRS chassis, paired with a 441 cu. in. LS3 making 710 HP.

Because apparently a ’58 Corvette just wasn’t wild enough already.

We’re also building in some very cool custom touches, including extra hidden storage compartments — which in an early Corvette is basically the automotive equivalent of finding an extra closet in your house.

And that’s only part of what we have planned.

There are a few other modifications going into this car that we’re keeping quiet for now, but when this thing is finished, it’s going to look like a 1958 Corvette and behave like something that absolutely should not be left unsupervised.

But here’s the thing about Motorhead…

We don’t just build monsters.

We do nut-and-bolt restorations, preservation work, custom builds and restomods — but we’re also here to keep the classics already on the road where they belong. Classic car repairs, maintenance, general inspections and everything in between.

Whether we’re bringing one back exactly the way it rolled out decades ago, keeping your weekend cruiser running right, or building something the factory engineers never dreamed of, we build and care for cars we’re proud to put the Motorhead name on.

Classic Corvette looks+Art Morrison IRS multiplied by 710 horsepower = Motorhead attitude.

We may be the new kids in Palmetto, but something tells us we won’t be the new kids for long.

We came here to build some incredible cars, make a name for ourselves, and have a hell of a lot of fun doing it.

We’re just getting started. We just brought in a 1961 Corvette for the same treatment and the 1969 Camaro LS swap is getting some Restomod-ish upgrades as well. 😉

TWO YEARS. TO. THE. DAY.

On August 24, 2024, we took one of the biggest — and probably most terrifying — leaps of our lives.

We stood on a piece of property and decided we were going to build something from the ground up.

Not just a building.

Not just another automotive shop.

We wanted to build Motorhead.

For months, it existed only as sketches on paper, ideas in our heads, and a whole lot of conversations that started with, “What if we…”

Then came the planning. The permits. The engineering. The dirt. The concrete. The steel. The walls. The setbacks. The decisions. The long days. The even longer nights.

And little by little, the dream started looking real.

Fast forward exactly two years.

August 24, 2026.

Yesterday, we officially received our Certificate of Occupancy and our license to open for business.

Two years. To the exact day.

You couldn’t have planned that if you tried.

And then came one of those moments we’ll probably never forget.

Francesca and I stood together in the finished lobby — the same place that had once only existed on a set of plans — and just looked around.

For a minute, neither one of us really knew what to say.

After everything it took to get here, all we could manage was:

“We did it.”

And that pretty much says it all.

The video below is a look back at the journey — from the very first day we walked the property, through nearly two years of construction, all the way to the shop standing here today.

We built this place for the people who love cars the way we do.

The builders.
The restorers.
The gearheads.
The dreamers.
The people who still turn around and look at their car after they park it.

The Motorheads.

We cannot wait to finally welcome all of you into the place we’ve dreamed about for so long.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged us, followed the build, helped us along the way, and watched this crazy idea become a reality.

Please enjoy the video chronicling the build of our dream.

Motorhead is officially open for business.

Tomorrow, we open the doors.

But when you come see us, excuse the dust. We may have finished building the building, but we’re definitely not finished making it Motorhead. We’re still hanging signs, putting up artwork, and finding homes for some of the coolest, weirdest, and downright neatest stuff we’ve collected along the way.

Something tells us this place may never really be finished.

And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

And now…

Enough building buildings.

Let’s get back to what we love most.

🔥 LET’S BUILD SOME CARS. 🔥

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW! 🚨

It’s been a long road getting here, and tomorrow we finally get to share the news we’ve been waiting for.

We are SO excited for what’s next.

Stay tuned, Motorheads… tomorrow’s a big day. 🔧

A week in the life at Motorhead. 🔧

An ’87 Mustang. A ’75 Corvette. A ’69 Camaro. And plenty more waiting in the wings.

Every car that will come through our doors has a story, and we’re honored to have the opportunity to be a small part of it.

From decorating our conference room and sales office to designing and putting up our sign out front, there’s been a lot happening behind the scenes.

Here’s just 18 seconds of what’s been happening around Motorhead lately.

And trust us… there’s a whole lot more to come. We’re just moments away from fully opening. 🏁
