BIG things are happening at Motorhead Customs.

The LED signs are officially DONE… and honestly, they came out even better than we imagined. The winning outdoor sign design from the contest has now been brought to life, and seeing this stuff become real is a pretty surreal moment for us.

The two massive 7-foot LED signs will be going inside the new headquarters — one in the lobby and one in the conference room — and they absolutely light the place up. Between the custom fabrication, the lighting, and the old-school styling, these signs fit the new shop perfectly.

What’s crazy is this all started as ideas, sketches, and late-night conversations… and now we’re standing here wiring up giant illuminated Motorhead signs in our own building.

We’re getting REALLY close now.

Huge thank you to everybody who voted in the sign contest, followed along with the build, shared our posts, and supported this dream from the beginning. Every comment, share, and recommendation helped us get here.

Now the important question…

Which sign is your favorite?
The round outdoor sign?
Or the giant 7-foot LED wall signs?

We don’t want you to think we’re only building shops right now… the work never stops. Here’s another one headed into the lineup at Motorhead Customs.

This 1956 Apache pickup is just entering the planning stages, but the story behind it is exactly why we do what we do. The owner originally brought this truck to a body shop as a running and driving vehicle… and unfortunately got it back in pieces. Literally.

Now it’s our turn to bring it back to life.

The goal? Get this Apache back on the road, running, driving, sounding nasty, and turning heads everywhere it goes. We’re not interested in building boring around here.

Raise your hand 🖐️ if you’re ready to see and feel some Big Block power.

What makes this one even more exciting is the timing. We are only weeks away from turning the key to our new headquarters and officially starting this next chapter for Motorhead Customs.

Bigger shop. Bigger projects. Bigger builds.

The projects are lining up, and honestly… we couldn’t be more fired up about what’s coming next.

Stay tuned because this Apache is going to become an absolute beast.

Follow Motorhead Customs to watch this build come back from the dead.

This week at Motorhead was basically a mix between a construction site, an HVAC convention, and arts & crafts for grown adults with toolboxes.

The water is officially on at the new shop which means Francesca’s shower is now operational. Yes, she has her own shower. However… she has already informed all of us that under absolutely no circumstances are we allowed to use it. Apparently after hearing phrases like “just rinsing off real quick” and “it’s only gear oil,” she immediately established federal-level restrictions on shower access.

So to clarify:Francesca = luxury private shower spa experience.
The rest of us = still washing our hands with brake clean and regret.

The office glass got installed this week too, so now people can dramatically stare out the conference room like they’re about to fire someone on a Discovery Channel car show.

We also officially have AIR CONDITIONING now… in the office area. The shop itself is still approximately 97 degrees. But for a few glorious minutes every day we’ll stand near the office door pretending we have climate control.

The brick wall is finished, the conference room chandelier is installed, and the parking lot went from looking like a motocross track to a perfect driveway that’s been smoothed and compacted ready for asphalt.

Starting Tuesday, floors begin going down. The office is getting acid-stained marble-look floors and the shop is getting epoxy because apparently we’re fancy now.

We also spent part of the week doing arts and crafts apparently… designing all of our office signs using our logos and branding. Nothing says “professional business owners” quite like sitting around making bathroom signs with skulls on them.

This place is finally starting to feel real.

Follow along because the next few weeks are about to get wild.

Went to the shop to test the new lighting system and accidentally turned Motorhead into a 24-hour Waffle House for hot rods.

The building looks incredible at night. The parking lot still looks like a motocross track because we’re waiting on curbing and asphalt… but details.

At this point we’re one bad decision away from changing the hours to night time.

Epoxy floors next on the list!

Quite the uplifting moment today at Motorhead Customs.

And some of our biggest fans came out!

The lifts are officially installed.

After 21 months of construction, inspections, dust, layout changes, caffeine, bad ideas, good ideas, and Googling “is this normal during a commercial build?” at 2am… we finally reached new heights.

At this point:
• morale has been lifted
• stress levels have been lifted
• blood pressure has definitely been lifted
• and soon customer cars will be too.

Meanwhile Francesca is still running the company from her legendary rusty desk while her bathroom somehow became nicer than most luxury hotel spas.

Nothing says “professional automotive facility” quite like:
• state of the art lifts
• an alignment rack
• industrial equipment everywhere
•Driveway and parking lot surveyed out and ready to make this entire shop come to life!

Honestly it finally feels real now.
The shop is coming together and we are one step closer to opening the doors and lifting questionable Facebook Marketplace purchases into the air professionally. 😅

Follow along because Motorhead Customs is officially on the rise.

Choosing this sign has turned into the automotive equivalent of arguing over Chevy vs Ford vs Mopar in a parking lot for 3 hours while nothing gets accomplished.

These 36” double-sided metal signs are going by the front entrance of the new headquarters and we cannot decide which one screams “Motorhead Customs” the loudest.

Option 1
Option 2
Option 3

We already have a favorite… but we want to see if the comment section has the same taste.

Vote below 👇
1, 2, or 3?

Winner sign gets mounted on the building.

Loser sign ends up in Francesca’s office holding her desk leg on pretending it was the plan all along.

Moving right along with the new home of Motorhead Customs Garage —

The lobby and conference room are starting to look like the vision we have had in our heads since the day we scribbled it on paper. Brick is going up, rusted corrugated paneling is installed, and the burnt pallet accent wall is coming together exactly how we imagined it.

The new 10,000 lb lifts and flush-mount scissor alignment rack are being set into place, furniture is getting ordered, parking lot being compacted for pavement and that only means one thing…

We are getting dangerously close to showtime.

Next up:
• Acid-stained concrete floors in the office
• Epoxy floors going down in the shop
• Moving in the new equipment and specialized machines
• Filling this place with some of the coolest builds around

It is wild watching a pile of dirt slowly turn into the future of Motorhead.

Now somebody just needs to explain to Francesca why “shopping for office furniture” somehow costs more than a small block Chevy build.

Follow along because the next few weeks are about to get really good.

Everybody loves to talk about success…
nobody talks about the part where you’re terrified the whole time 😅

This building didn’t just magically show up looking pretty.
It’s been a mix of “we got this” and “what did we just get ourselves into” on a daily basis.

Tile going in.
Parking lot getting prepped.
Paint done.
Doors hung.

Truth is—if you’re waiting until you’re comfortable, you’re already behind.
You just push through it, figure it out, and keep going anyway.

That’s how this place is getting built.

And yeah… we’re still a little scared.
But it’s starting to look REAL good.

Follow along— it’s almost go time..

We finally stopped playing in dirt piles and started acting like a real business 😂

✔ Walls are painted (no more guessing what color drywall dust is)
✔ Ceiling grids are in (yes… we measured… mostly)
✔ AC is hooked up (shop morale just went up 200%)

It officially no longer feels like a construction site… which is honestly a little suspicious.

Now it is game on.

Countdown to opening Motorhead Customs HQ has officially started… and we are about 5 minutes away from bringing a car in whether we are ready or not.

What should be the FIRST car in the new shop?
