With all the hype, about ChatGPT, there are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to the auto body industry and pricing . When someone ask ChatGPT how much would it cost to fix my bumper and uploads a picture, ChatGPT scours
The Internet looking for pricing,it has no idea what type of repair is needed. , how deep the scrapes are. is it just in the clear coat, is it through the base coat or down to the metal or fiberglass. is it a metal bumper is it polypropylene or Polyurethane or fiberglass or carbon fiber. Then it has no idea what kind of paint materials are being used. Cheep ass Nason paint or Capsi crap or spray paint. My shop uses all high quality materials. We spray Akzo Nobel. What kind of sealer, if its being used and so on. So i say again it has no idea on price, its just a generic number it pulls from the Internet .it’s kind of like asking ChatGPT my tooth hurts how much is it to get it fixed. IT HAS NO IDEA. So please use common sense. And remember you get what you pay for. Cheep work isn’t good and good work isn’t cheep.
