Nothing like a Sunday Funday on the Dyno! Huge Shoutout to Proto-Tech (Justin Richardson) for the dyno session and giving me a fresh tuneup on the “shop car”! Still need to dial in boost by gear and some other small things but super happy with it! We were spinning a bit on the rollers but made a few good passes. 810whp at 30psi, that’s what Everyone wants to know…haha! Not bad for a little street car on street tires!

One thing I really enjoy about what I do at DHP Racing is the variety of work. Where else can you go from rebuilding a carburetor on a lawnmower to diagnosing a Haltech-controlled 1,000+ horsepower car? After 20 years in a dealership, I’ve learned that no matter how much experience you have, there’s always something new to learn. We work on everything from street cars, drag cars, drift cars and classics to Harleys, sport bikes, dirt bikes, ATVs, side-by-sides and small engines. Mechanical, electrical, diagnostics, performance, you name it. I don’t claim to know everything, and I never will, but I know how to use my resources and figure things out. That’s what keeps me interested and keeps me learning. Anybody can throw parts at something, but I want to know why it failed in the first place. That’s the part of this business I’ve always enjoyed the most.

Shaft play and oil leak on this 2JZ. Time to install some better parts in this turbo and then hit the dyno!! 😜
