Good Morning Panamerians, family and friends.
This weekend I tackled my A/C Compressor replacement. It was very straight forward and easy.
I’ve talked to my local Porsche dealer here in the Maryland DC area and they wanted $2,375.80 for the replacement.
The part cost me $576.72 with 3 day shipping.
A local shop charged me $100 to vacuum and charge my system with the right amount of Freon.
Total $676.72.
The replacement took me 1hr 30min with a refreshing adult beverage in between time.
I saved $1,699.08
The part I ordered is the exact same part that was on my car since it was new. Please don’t be afraid to purchase this part. Plus I have a 1yr warranty with the part.

TIP!!!!!! All GM (General Motors) vehicles require DEX COOL 50/50 mix anti-freeze!!!! The product is ORANGE, NOT GREEN. DO NOT use ANY other brand of anti-freeze on a GM vehicle. It will cause a build up that may lead to overheating your engine.
