We’re at the Booneville High School Career Fair today! 🏁🔧

Puuuh... what a week. 🥵🔥

The Arkansas heat has been no joke, but we've been keeping busy.

Got a super clean Corvette C1 in the shop to pull the engine, went with a good buddy to look at a killer '50s Chevy truck sitting on a 4-linked '97 S10 chassis and give him a second opinion before he bought it (he did 😎).

Made some more progress on our rolling Audi project, and a couple of Forced Performance turbos showed up for Brooks' Mustang. Twin turbo time soon... can't wait for that one.

Our '86 Humvee is officially on its way across the pond to its new owner in Austria. Safe travels! 🇺🇸➡️🇦🇹

And because apparently we didn't have enough projects already... my wife came home with a little Volkswagen project. 😂❤️

Not every repair is as straightforward as it first appears...

This 2011 Chevy Avalanche came to us with a collapsed lifter and a bad camshaft. The truck had recently received a "new" engine at another shop under an extended warranty, but shortly afterward it developed a loud ticking noise.

At first, it seemed like a typical cam and lifter repair. Once we started taking it apart, we found a lot more:

Every single engine mount bolt was loose.

The engine was leaking oil from multiple places.

The camshaft was seized in the bearings and had to be carefully forced out.

Once removed, we found the second cam bearing deeply scored and completely worn out.

At that point, there was no shortcut. The engine had to come back out so the cam bearings could be replaced correctly and the rest of the issues could be fixed the right way.

This is the part of the job we hate the most—not because of the extra work, but because the customer has to pay the price for someone else's mistakes. This truck was purchased from a dealership, needed a "new" engine shortly afterward, and then ended up with an installation that created even more problems.

We don't believe in cutting corners. We believe in finding the real problem, fixing it correctly, and making sure our customers can trust their vehicle when they leave our shop.

🇺🇸➡️🇦🇹 Another classic is heading across the pond!

This 1965 C10 is officially on its way to the port and soon will be making the trip to Austria. Along with the truck, a shipment of parts for several vintage vehicle projects is making the journey overseas as well.

The customer is very excited to finally receive his truck and continue working on his collection. We're proud to have helped make it happen, handling everything from sourcing and logistics to export and transportation.

We're excited to see what plans he has for it. It definitely needs some love, but it's got a lot of potential and we're looking forward to bringing it back to life!
