I removed the front spindle and brake assembly from my '87 and am replacing with calipers and brakes from a 2001 GMC Jimmy two wheel drive. Slightly larger rotors and pads, along with the duel piston calipers should slow me down a bit faster. Photos emphasize the slightly larger parts.

In the mean time, I'm cleaning up the rear of the frame with a wire brush on my cordless drill. After a wipe down with brake cleaner, I'll hit it with Rust Reformer Primer for now.

On 12/30/2022 opened the 2001 GMC Jimmy rear axle to inspect and clean. The ring gear is a 41:12 ratio giving me a 3.41666 gear ratio. Began priming and painting rear axle components.

On 12/28/2022 removed the rear axle which had drum brakes.
