Happy Father’s Day!

Today is also a special day for Scott and me as we celebrate 23 years of marriage. As we look back on the life we’ve built together, it’s impossible not to think about Griffin Automotive Design and the role it has played in our journey since we opened our doors in 2002.

Over the years, we’ve been blessed to meet so many wonderful people and build relationships that mean far more than business. We’re grateful for every customer, friend, and supporter who has been part of our story.

Most of all today, we’re celebrating the dads. The ones who work hard, sacrifice quietly, teach by example, and do whatever it takes for their families. Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who make a difference every day.

When Scott Griffin was just in his early 20’s, he built the purple GMC truck for his dad, Bobby. It was one of his first restoration projects and would go on to become Bobby’s favorite vehicle.

Bobby loved the car community and was a familiar face at local cruise nights. You could often find him and the Hyway Rockers gathered at Burger King in Pevely or McDonald’s in Festus, talking cars and enjoying the atmosphere that made cruise nights special.

Today, that 1977 GMC—now known to many of us as Pop’s Truck—remains the symbol of the 5th Annual Bobby Griffin Memorial Cruise and a reminder of where it all began.

We created this event to honor Bobby’s love for cars, cruise nights, and the community that surrounded them. It’s our way of keeping his memory alive and celebrating something that meant so much to him.
