Heading out for Fourth of July weekend? Here’s a quick RV checklist before you leave 🇺🇸🚐
Fourth of July is almost here, which means a lot of RV owners are getting ready for holiday camping trips, family vacations, and long weekends on the road. Before you head out, it’s a good idea to take a few minutes to check over the basics so you can avoid common issues once you get to your destination.
To make it easy, here’s a simple pre-trip RV checklist to go through before your holiday weekend:
✔️ Check tire pressure and inspect your tires for wear or cracking
✔️ Make sure your battery is charged and connections are secure
✔️ Test your air conditioner before you leave
✔️ Run your generator if you plan to use it
✔️ Check lights, signals, outlets, and other electrical functions
✔️ Inspect your water system for leaks or other issues
✔️ Test your refrigerator and appliances ahead of time
✔️ Look over roof seals, slide seals, and exterior seals
✔️ Make sure your slide-outs and awning are working properly
✔️ Confirm your propane system is ready to go
✔️ Pack and inspect your sewer hose, water hose, and hookups
✔️ Check your smoke and CO detectors, along with your fire extinguisher
Taking care of these items before you leave can help you avoid last-minute problems and enjoy your trip with a little more peace of mind.
