We moved to the current site in 1961 specializing in Water Skiing & Scuba Diving lessons. Started renting boats in 1961 also. First rental boat was a 15' aluminum Starcraft with a 45 HP Mercury engine. Launching started in 1961 also. Current building was opened in 1966 when Chic's became the third Mercury outboard dealer on Lake George. In 1967, the rental fleet was expanded to include boats rangi
ng from 10 HP to 110 HP. The largest rental boat was a 18"' Mohawk Chieftan with a 110 HP Mercury. Currently, 55 years later, we are the largest rental fleet on Lake George. We rent and sell Boston Whalers, Grumman Pontoon Boats, and Yamaha Wave-Runners. We also service and sell both Mercury and Yamaha Motors, and offer Inside covered storage. Along with Sales and Rentals, we offer Wave-Runner Rentals, Parasail and Banana Boat Rides, Fishing Charters, and have a Waterski and Wakeboard School on site.
