HME AHRENS-FOX SECURES NEW APPARATUS ORDER FROM ORCAS ISLAND (WA) FIRE & RESCUE
Seven HME Ahrens-Fox SFO Model-18 Pumpers Scheduled for Delivery in 2027
WYOMING, MICH (June 9, 2026) – HME Ahrens-Fox (HME) is proud to announce that Orcas Island Fire and Rescue has placed an order for seven (7) HME SFO Model-18 Pumpers. All seven units are scheduled for delivery in 2027.
The HME SFO Model-18 platform is known for its durability, serviceability, and performance in demanding environments. It is an apparatus of choice for multiple departments such as CAL FIRE, Cal OES and many municipalities in need of proven apparatus for Wildland Urban Interface.
The custom-configured pumpers will be designed to meet the unique operational needs of island-based emergency response, including reliability, maneuverability, and long-term fleet consistency. The new apparatus package will provide Orcas Island Fire & Rescue with a modern, highly capable fleet designed to support the department’s mission of protecting the residents and visitors of Orcas Island.
This noteworthy investment reflects the department’s continued commitment to firefighter safety, operational readiness, and reliable emergency response capabilities for the residents and visitors of Orcas Island.
