2009 F150 with a 6R80 transmission, fluid leak from the pass through socket (electrical bulkhead connector). The first pic is the part at fault, should have been a recall but updated part at least replaces it; the second pic is the underside of the transmission with the pan removed, and that white tab is the locking piece that holds the connector in to the internal motherboard or whatever; third pic is of the faulty part and it's surrounding lack of space lol. Got her done and no mo' leaks!
I don't get too far into transmissions but I can fix external leaks and service them, etc.

We made big leaps yesterday on the gorgeous '58 Corvette I've been helping get on the road safely; the steering gear/column assembly is completed and installed, power/front disc brake conversion completed, with just a few final touches before the Vette is road worthy!!! The steering gear had been removed or disassembled or whatever by previous owner and a few parts are missing so we're just waiting on those. Need to finish bleeding the brakes and adjust the brake light switch but it feels good to make such great headway.
I'll get pictures of the car once it is off the jack stands!

1993 Chevy C3500 dually with a TBI 454, been running poorly so I was digging in for a cam swap and carburetor instead of the old throttle body fuel injection! But wait there's more! Now we're doing a vortec head swap and a block crack repair... Water alone in engines is no bueno, water freezes and expands, and those plugs in the block are not freeze plugs, they're core plugs for letting the sand out after casting the iron when making the block...
We went to pull an engine from the scrap yard and of course wanted to make sure it was sound so I pulled the oil pan and of course found rod bearings in pieces from coolant leaking into the crankcase so we're fixing this one!
Oh it's been a week... It's a new one though and I'm off to the races! Love the crispy chill mornings!

Well I didn't get pictures of the new engine going in or completed but it's done and gone! Runs like a champ!
I pulled the fuel pump fuse and cranked the engine over to prime the oiling system with pressure before firing it up and everything went off without a hitch. That was a nice fun big job and I'm glad to be relaxing.

Well it's been such a good week, finished up the power front disc brake conversion on the 58 Vette! I helped a fella with a completely custom 68 Camaro down at Jason's shop, brakes and an oil change early this morning, diagnosed a no crank condition on a homeless guys Buick (no charge, just helping out), replaced a leaky transmission pan on a newer F150, replaced a radiator on a jeep cherokee in New Plymouth (loved going out there!), lots of good stuff!
A neighbor asked me to diag a misfire and engine noise on this 2015 Ram... Typical hemi, lost a lifter and possibly dropped a valve seat, both common issues, so it's getting a whole crate engine!
I love my life!
I love my job!
I love my people!
I'll be getting cracking on this engine pull first light tomorrow, transferring over necessary parts, and shtuffin that bad boy back in there and finally getting my driveway opened up for some fun stuff on my 98 Tahoe!

Good morning! I just wanted to say thank you again to everyone for their support and trust; I couldn't do this without y'all!
I've been busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest and lovin every minute of it!
Currently working on an engine replacement on a 2015 Ram, and heading out this morning to hopefully wrap up the front disc brake conversion on the beautiful '58 Corvette!

Just my silly video verifying the new parts work but I also don't post videos like ever so I figured I'd just throw it on here. This was only like a 4 minute repair, it just took 5 hours to get down to the part! All in a day's work! Till next time...
