This isnā€™t another production LS block pushed past its limits. The new Smeding Performance Heavy-Duty 6-Bolt LS Iron Block was engineered from the ground up to handle the extreme cylinder pressure, high RPM and serious horsepower found in todayā€™s naturally aspirated and boosted race engines.

Its heavy-duty cast-iron construction delivers greater strength and rigidity, while the 6-bolt head pattern provides more clamping force to help keep head gaskets sealed under big power. Billet-steel, 4-bolt splayed main caps add bottom-end stability, and an upgraded three-galley oiling system supplies the crankshaft and rods through a dedicated oil circuit.
