After nearly 50 years in business, Ron's Electric Motor Repair will be closing it's doors.

We will remain open through the end of December, but will no longer be providing repair services. We will, however, complete any repairs of motors delivered before December 1st.

Everything is currently 10% off of in stock items if you're wanting to stock up on things before our doors close. Please note: payment will be due for on sale items at time of picking up.

We've got both 3 phase and single phase motors in stock, furnace motors, bearings, capacitors, belts, fans, switches, phase converters, pulleys of various sizes, and even some equipment.

We want to thank all our customers for the business over the years!

Pop's passed peacefully early morning of January 21st. He will be hugely missed!

Visitation will be Sunday, January 26 from 4pm to 7pm at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth.

Funeral will be Monday, January 27 at 11am at Hope United Methodist in Blue Earth.

Ron's Electric Motor Repair will continue operating per usual moving forward. We will be closed Monday in honor of him and to allow all employees to grieve and pay their respects.

Pop's was not only my boss, but also my step dad and he leaves a big hole in all our hearts.

I struggle with posting this... there's been so many that have not only impacted this man, but also so many that he has impacted. There's a list of customers we've brought up these last few days that have such a deep spot in Allen's heart and reaching out to each and everyone of them is near impossible. I guess that's what happens when you run a successful business in a small close knit community for nearly 50 years.

For the past 6 years I've worked for him, I've met countless customers that come in just to see him and for nothing else. After each visit, he'd always share stories with me of personal times with each and everyone of you and how you've been there for him and how you impacted him greatly, no matter how big or small you may think it was. He cherished every single one of you. So if you ever wondered if he liked you... rest assured, he loved you.

With a very very heavy heart I share with you all that his time here with us is soon coming to a close. There's not much more time, but if there is anything you'd like to share with Allen, please let me know either in the comments or in private message and I will read them to him while he's here.

Ron's Electric Motor Repair will continue to operate, but please bare with us as we start moving into a season of mourning and grief.

Allen knew so many people there isn't any way to reach out to everyone. Please share this to help get the word out.

We just got another notice that a vendor of ours is increasing pricing again. Yes, again. This is the third time this year!

It's typical to get a notice the beginning of each year of an approximate 2 - 3% increase. It's pretty standard.

Since January of 2021, we've seen over 70% increases on some of our stuff!

This new increase is an additional 11% increase on top of the already 11% a couple months ago, on top of the 4% at the beginning of this year.

I am not sure where the information is coming from that there's only an 8.6% inflation rate. It's lies. All lies.

We will continue to be competitive, but please know, our price increases are out of our control. When our vendors go up by 70%, our prices go up 70%.

This inflation is affecting all of us - from small family-owned businesses to our customers and you.

We often get questions of "is it more cost effective to repair a motor or just get new?" Other times, some assume motors are not worth repairing, especially if it needs to be rebuilt.
Getting a motor rebuilt in our shop is 95% of the time more cost effective. If it's not worth repairing, we'll let ya know! Our rebuilds are a fraction of the cost of new AND we are so confident in our work, we even offer a 12 month warranty on all our rebuilds.
Don't have time to wait for us to rebuild a motor? Great news! We not only stock new motors, but rebuilds too! Chances are we got a rebuild of what you're looking for already in stock.
Please don't hesitate to ever ask the motor guys questions in regards to cost effectiveness.
