Your student is in Boone. You’re a few hours away. Their vehicle is at our shop, but you’re the one helping make the decisions and paying the bill.
That’s where a Digital Vehicle Inspection can make the process a lot easier.
Instead of trying to piece everything together from a phone call with your student, you can review the photos, findings, and information we’ve documented about the vehicle yourself. You can see what we see and have better context for the conversation about what the vehicle needs.
There’s more to how we use DVIs to keep customers informed. Read the full blog here: lnautorepair.com/digital-vehicle-inspections-blowing-rock-nc/

We’re closing out Fall Car Care Month with something that becomes more noticeable every week this time of year: how much driving we do in the dark.

Headlights help you see what’s ahead on our mountain roads, while brake lights and turn signals let everyone around you know what you’re doing. As the days get shorter, it's important to make sure all of them are working properly.

That also brings us back to the point of this entire Fall Car Care Month series. Tires, brakes, battery, fluids, filters, heat, visibility, and lighting all tell you where your vehicle stands before winter arrives. Knowing now gives you time to plan for what it needs.

Call us at 828-266-9077 if you’d like to get your vehicle checked.

This is one of those problems you probably wouldn’t spot unless you knew what you were looking at.👀

The coolant in this vehicle is gold. The manufacturer calls for G48 coolant, which is dark teal/blue. Coolant isn’t universal, and using the wrong type can create compatibility and cooling-system concerns that need to be addressed correctly.

This is why our cooling system work goes beyond simply topping off coolant. We identify what’s in the vehicle, look for leaks or other problems, and make sure the system has the correct coolant before determining what service or repair it needs.

If you have a coolant leak, overheating concern, or questions about what’s in your vehicle, call us at 828-266-9077.

By this point in the fall, mornings in Boone and Blowing Rock are getting colder, windshields are taking longer to clear, and you’re probably using your wipers more often.

That makes it time to check your heater, defrosters, and wiper blades. Your heater should warm the cabin properly, your defrosters should clear the windshield, and your wipers should leave you with a clear view instead of streaks across the glass.

For Fall Car Care Month, the goal is simple: make sure you can stay warm and see clearly as the weather changes.

If something isn’t working like it should, call us at 828-266-9077.

Seeing the ABS light come on doesn’t mean we already know what needs to be replaced.

That light gives us a place to start. From there, our job is to test the system and figure out what caused the warning. Especially with the steep grades and winding roads around Boone and Blowing Rock, your braking systems aren’t something we want to guess at.

If your ABS light is staying on, call us at 828-266-9077, and we’ll get to the bottom of it.

For this Fall Car Care Month topic, we’re looking at some of the maintenance items that are easy to lose track of during a busy summer.
Engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, engine air filters, and cabin air filters all need to be checked based on their condition and your vehicle’s maintenance needs. With colder High Country weather ahead, this is a good time to find out where those items stand and take care of anything that’s due.

Call us at 828-266-9077 to schedule an appointment.

What if you could see what your technician sees, even when you’re nowhere near the shop? 👀
That’s part of what makes a Digital Vehicle Inspection so useful. Photos and documented findings give you something you can review, rather than trying to remember everything from a phone call.
And that’s only part of what a DVI can do, especially for our busy customers.
We break down the full process and why it matters in our latest blog.
