A very scary situation as vehicles exiting I-55 were mere seconds away from being smashed into as a vehicle catapulted over the road and another flipped over. We truly hope everyone involved walked away from this accident.

You never know what's going to happen out on the road, especially on the routes you drive every day. Here are a few eye opening facts about local travel from a Progressive Insurance driver survey:

52% of accidents occur within 5 miles of home.
77% of accidents happen within 15 miles of home.
23% of accidents happen within just 1 mile of home.
Only 1% of accidents happen 50 miles or more from home.

Two of the biggest reasons behind this:

Complacency. Drivers feel overconfident and let their guard down on familiar neighborhood roads.

Distraction. Routine routes make drivers prone to multitasking, daydreaming, or using their phones.

Whatever you drive and whatever you may encounter, if you are in an accident we're here to help you get back on the road. Stay safe out there!

✅ Lexus Certified Collision Repair

Earlier this month our team attended the Lexus Guest Experience Leadership Summit and we are still implementing what we learned and finding new opportunities to make the customer's experience smoother and unforgettable. Being part of a brand that consistently leads the industry in customer care is something we never take for granted, and this summit reinforced exactly why.

We connected with Lexus teams from across the country, heard from incredible speakers, and walked away with a renewed focus on what it means to truly take care of someone when they trust us with their vehicle. The summit explored innovative approaches to hospitality, customer experience, and the future of the brand. Hats off to Lexus and everyone involved in putting together an event like this.

For our team at S&S Paint & Body, being in that room was a reminder that collision repair is more than fixing cars, it's about how people are treated through one of the most stressful experiences a driver goes through.

If you are in need of collision repair services, contact us today for a stress free estimate.
