Hello again, Qu**rs and Gears friends!

I'm happy to report that I will be officially back in action soon!

The last six months away from the shop have been a wild ride, to say the very least. As rough as the recovery process was (and still is), the cabin fever is FAR worse. So to say I'm excited to get back to work is the understatement of the century.
I'm currently working through a few projects I had lined up before the hiatus, but will be opening my books to new projects and new clients soon, so stay tuned!

As always, thank you for the continued love and support -- none of what I do would be possible without this community ❤️

An update from the owner:

Hello Qu**rs and Gears family,

When I launched the page for Q&G, I expected for this venture to stay somewhere in the side hustle territory for quite a while. I thought business would slowly trickle in and I would have ample time to build and learn as I went.

Luckily, it was quite the opposite -- I quickly found myself with the best possible problem a new small business owner could have -- an overwhelming amount of interest in my mission, and work orders coming in faster than I could handle them. From the bottom of my heart *thank you* to everyone who has supported me with kind words and encouragement, automotive work, and especially patience—lots of patience—as I sprint to keep up with this creation that so suddenly took on a life of its own.

I will need a little bit more of that patience heading into this fall. As much as I hate to press pause on Qu**rs and Gears so soon into its creation, the opportunity has come up for me to pursue a life-changing surgical procedure. Thankfully, I think many of you understand why that has to be my number one priority at the moment.

So, what does that mean for the future of Qu**rs and Gears? Only a small hiatus!

In order to give myself enough time to prepare, **I will no longer be taking new clients as of now.** I am booked through August and I'm reserving the entire month of September for existing clients so that we can work on any current auto issues and hopefully tide everything over until the spring, when I expect to be back at work.

I have no hard and fast dates for being back to the shop at 100%, but I will be spending most of my 4-6 month recovery period working on streamlining business procedures, applying for small business grants, and a few exciting but still-under-wraps developments for the future of Q&G Automotive. Stay tuned~

Thank you for your past and continued support in both my business and personal ventures. I will never have all the words to express just how grateful I am. ❤️

Hey all! A quick update regarding our contact info:

I've found that Facebook Messenger can be rather unreliable, and several client messages have accidentally gotten skipped over because of it.
To avoid that happening again, I am disabling the Messenger function for all business requests, beginning now and lasting indefinitely.

As you can probably guess, we order a lot of car parts and auto supplies in this business. As a result, we have SO MANY leftover packing materials!

Anything we can't find a home for gets recycled to the best of our abilities, but we wanted to reach out to our community and see if anyone had a use for the following:

- bubble wrap sheets
- air-pak air pillows
- cardboard boxes (all sizes, could be good for storage, moving, or campfire kindling)
- sheeted packing paper/paper filler

Do you frequently find other drivers flashing their lights at you when you don't even have your high beams on?

Many people attribute this to newer and brighter LED headlights and assume there's nothing they can do to turn it down. The brightness of the bulbs certainly can be a factor, but more likely the cause is due to improperly adjusted headlight housings. When the housings are pointed too high, they cause light to shine directly into other drivers' faces -- a problem that is definitely aggravating, but can also dangerous. (Not to mention limiting what you can see on the road as a driver, too).

If you find yourself getting flashed and want to be a more courteous driver, give us a call and let us get those lights right!
