A small oil leak can turn into a costly engine repair if left unchecked.

Your valve cover gasket seals the upper portion of your engine, keeping oil where it belongs. Over time, heat and wear can cause the gasket to crack, harden or leak.

Common warning signs include:
• Oil around the top of your engine
• Burning oil smells or smoke
• Oil spots beneath your vehicle
• Low oil levels between changes
• Oil collecting around spark plug wells

Ignoring these signs can lead to oil loss, increased engine wear and potential damage to other components.

At Country Tire, our technicians can locate the leak, inspect the valve cover and related components and recommend the right repair before a small problem becomes a major expense.

As temperatures begin to drop, now is a great time to catch up on vehicle maintenance before colder weather and changing road conditions arrive.

If your brakes are squealing, grinding, vibrating, or taking longer to stop, it may be time for service. Worn brake pads can damage your rotors and turn a routine repair into a more expensive one.

While your vehicle is in the shop, why not take care of other important maintenance items?
• Brake Service: Inspect pads, rotors, calipers and related components for wear and proper operation.
• Oil Change: Keep your engine properly lubricated and protected as temperatures change.
• Transmission Fluid: Check fluid condition and service intervals to help protect your transmission and maintain smooth shifting.
• Coolant: Check coolant levels, condition and freeze protection. Top off or replace coolant when appropriate to help protect your engine in colder temperatures.

At Country Tire, our experienced technicians can inspect these systems, explain what needs attention and help you stay ahead of maintenance before small concerns become larger repairs.

From brakes and oil changes to transmission service, cooling systems and complete auto repair, Country Tire is your local full-service mechanic.

Take care of your vehicle today so it is ready for the miles ahead.

10/09/2026

Your CV joints help transfer power from the drivetrain to the wheels while allowing your suspension and steering to move. They are protected by rubber boots that hold grease inside and help keep dirt, water, and debris out.

When a CV boot cracks, tears, or bursts, grease can leak out. Once that lubricant is gone, the joint can wear quickly and may lead to clicking, popping, vibration, or axle damage.

Signs of a CV joint or axle boot issue can include:
• Grease splattered near the wheel or under the vehicle
• Clicking or popping when turning
• Vibration while driving
• Clunking during acceleration
• Torn or damaged rubber boot
• Visible lubricant leaking from the axle area

Catching the issue early can make a big difference. In some cases, a damaged boot may be addressed before the CV joint is ruined. If the joint has already worn or failed, axle replacement or further repair may be needed.

At Country Tire, our technicians can inspect the axle, CV boots, joints, suspension area, and related components to help determine the right repair and keep your vehicle driving safely.

Tire tread plays a major role in traction, braking, handling, and wet-weather safety. As tread wears down, your tires have a harder time moving water away from the road, which can increase the risk of hydroplaning and longer stopping distances.

New tires often start around 10/32" to 11/32" of tread depth. As they wear, performance changes:
• 4/32" or less: Traction can be reduced in rain, snow, and changing road conditions
• 2/32": This is generally considered the minimum tread depth and replacement point
• Uneven wear: May point to alignment, suspension, inflation, or rotation concerns
• Cracks, bulges, exposed cords, or sidewall damage: These should be inspected right away

Tread depth is only one part of tire safety. Age, damage, pressure, balance, alignment, and driving conditions all matter too.

At Country Tire, our team can inspect your tread depth, look for uneven wear or damage, check tire pressure, review alignment concerns, and help determine whether your tires are good, good for now, or ready for replacement.

If it is time for new tires, we can help you find the right option for your vehicle, budget, and driving needs.

Your vehicle can tell you something is wrong before a warning light ever appears. Sometimes, that warning comes from a smell.

Different odors can point to different concerns:
• Burning oil smell: Possible oil leak, low oil, or oil dripping onto hot engine components
• Sweet smell: Possible coolant leak or cooling system issue
• Fuel smell: Fuel system concern that should be checked promptly
• Musty smell from the vents: Dirty cabin air filter, moisture, or A/C system concern
• Burning rubber smell: Worn belt, slipping belt, or overheated component
• Hot brake smell: Brake pads, calipers, or other brake components may need attention
• Exhaust smell inside the vehicle: Possible exhaust leak that should be inspected right away

A strange smell may be something simple, but it can also be an early warning sign of a larger repair. At Country Tire, our technicians can inspect the issue, check related systems, and help determine what needs attention.

If your vehicle smells unusual, do not ignore it. Let Country Tire take a closer look.

From work trucks and service vehicles to commercial fleets, tire condition and routine service play a major role in safety, reliability, fuel efficiency, load handling, and downtime prevention. • Brake system inspection and service
• Wheel alignment and uneven wear concerns

A proper wheel alignment takes more than a quick look. It takes the right equipment, accurate measurements and experienced technicians who know how to correct the issue.

At Country Tire, our alignment technology helps our team measure key angles like toe, camber and caster so your vehicle can drive the way it should. When alignment is off, you may notice pulling, an off-center steering wheel, uneven tire wear, reduced handling or a rougher ride.

Advanced alignment equipment helps provide accurate measurements, faster setup and a clearer picture of how your wheels are positioned. That matters because proper alignment can help:
• Improve handling and steering feel
• Reduce uneven tire wear
• Help extend the life of your tires
• Support better ride quality
• Help protect suspension components
• Keep your vehicle driving straight and safely

Whether you hit a pothole, notice your vehicle pulling, see uneven tire wear or simply want to protect your investment in new tires, Country Tire can help.

Our team has the tools, training and technology to check your alignment and recommend the right next step.

Lug nuts may seem simple, but they play a major role in keeping your wheels properly secured to your vehicle.

If lug nuts are too loose, the wheel may not stay seated correctly. That can lead to vibration, wheel damage, broken studs, or a serious safety concern.

If lug nuts are over-tightened, it can stretch or damage wheel studs, make roadside tire changes more difficult, affect brake rotor condition, and create problems the next time the wheel needs to come off.

That matters for everyday drivers, work trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles. The more weight a vehicle carries and the harder it works, the more important proper wheel installation becomes.

At Country Tire, our team has the tools and experience to install wheels properly, inspect studs and lug nuts, check for damage, and service tires for daily drivers, fleets, trailers, and commercial vehicles.

Whether you need a tire repair, rotation, replacement, balance, or commercial tire service, Country Tire helps make sure the job is done the right way.
