As you know you're at Reflective Rides we are constantly working on some of the coolest cars in the world. This one really has a cool story that we thought would be worthy of another post.
This is the second car we've done for this client, and as he picked it up this past weekend he shared that he has owned this car since high school. It is a 1955 Crown Victoria, he told me he found it in a field surrounded by weeds so tall all he could see was the chrome strip across the roof of the car. He reached out to the owner and they agreed to sell him the car despite it not running. It had 34,000 original miles on it, he and his father got the car running in the field and drove it home. It was his high school car and shortly after he purchased it in 1974 he had it repainted. When he went away to college he sold the car to a friend to make ends meet. A few years after he graduated he was able to purchase the car back from his friend. The paint on this car is 51 years old faded oxidized and worse for the wear. We were pleased to be able to restore it to it perfectly imperfect condition bringing back the shine it deserves. It is a single stage paint with no clear coat. We were able to bring it back to this condition and seal it up with a durable long-lasting ceramic coating. The car currently has 51,000 original miles and is a true gem.
We love stories like these and are thrilled to be involved in them. Thank you again for allowing us to earn your business, enjoy your Reflective Ride.
