Students can earn an Associates of Applied Science in Auto Body Repair and Refinishing.

This degree prepares students to complete all aspects of automotive body repair. Certificates available are: Auto Body Collision and Auto Body Refinishing. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Collision and cosmetic repairs: minor sheet metal repair, welding of mild and high-strength steels, panel replacement, and measuring with laser and mechanical measuring systems
Removal and Replacement of sheet metal panels,

glass, plastic body parts
Welding
Damage analysis and estimation
Electrical wiring for vehicles
Refinish (prep and painting): panel and overall refinishing using the latest techniques and equipment Safety
Tools and equipment used
Undercoats, types and applications, automotive plastic identification
Learn various causes and cures of surface defects
Paint blending and color matching
Develop and maintain occupationalrelationships
Effectively communicate with customers and peers
Proficient in mathematicalskills necessary for technical field

***Jacket giving day is today!!!

The auto body students at City College are currently raising funds for their “Recycled Rides” project. This program aims to assist families in need by repairing and donating a previously donated vehicle. The students partner with a local charity to identify a family that is in dire need of transportation. The program not only provides hands-on experience for the students but also teaches them valuable skills that can make a difference in people's lives.

Our goal for Jacket Giving Day 2024 is to raise $6,000 to help support this program and provide the needed financial support to help it continue to make a positive impact in the community. Any funds raised above and beyond this goal will be used to further support the “Recycled Rides” program this year and into future years.

Join me in making a difference for MSUB City College students. Go Jackets!

It was a special night for Special K Ranch on Friday, when it received back its repainted van. The City College at MSU Billings gift inspired the residents and the students.
