Thanks, Diane, for the Great review on DYRT today. Keep us in mind for your ADA friends and family!

Wow
Been to a lot of campsites. This is absolutely the best I have seen so far. For my fellow ADA travelers, you CAN NOT beat these showers. They are beautifully done, to the point we are looking at their layout to put in our home. The camp grounds are incredibly clean. Beautiful views. Pool, hot tub, billiards, tiny store with the friendliest people. I cannot recommend this enough.

Most people drive right past our little Southern Utah town without a second glance. Big Water, UT seems quiet, unassuming... maybe even forgotten.
But looks can be deceiving.
That desert town is nestled snugly between three of America’s most spectacular landscapes.
🏜️The Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, White Pocket +)
🌌 The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (Grosvenor's Arch, Wahweap Hoodoos, Toadstools +)
🛶 The Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (Alstrom Point, Horseshoe Bend, Lee's Ferry +)
Set foot off of our doorstep, and into hundreds of miles of trails and back-country roads leading to slot canyons, sandstone cliffs, sweeping overlooks...
Places that still feel genuinely wild.
Here, the Milky Way isn't a special event. It's just another clear night. The days when you feel you have entire landscapes entirely to yourself? Common.
Big Water isn't the destination most people expect: that's true.
But it's the Gateway they never knew they were driving through.
We’re the Rankin Family and Friends, and we are going to start sharing with you the real story of this little town our family first settled in 30 years ago.
Lake Powell Gateway RV Resort is our way of opening this wondrous place to the unknowing passerby. You've just stumbled upon a comfortable basecamp to recharge, re-supply, and relax - with long-time locals who know many of this incredible region’s secrets.
Follow along as we uncover the spots and the stories of the magnificent wilderness that envelops "Big Water".
