🚨INSTAGRAM TAKEOVER: Our hearts are blessed with THE SOUND OF MUSIC! Follow along for a rehearsal weekend starting tomorrow when Desi Oakley (), who plays Maria Rainer, takes over our Instagram on July 1 & 2.
Desi is thrilled to join the NSMT family! As a Broadway, voice and TV artist in NYC, she’s most known for originating Jenna on the 1st National Tour of Waitress, and starring in the role on the West End. Broadway credits: Roxie Hart in Chicago, Wicked, Annie, Les Misérables. TV credits: Gotham, The Gilded Age, the upcoming season of “Only Murders in the Building” on Hulu. Desi has voiced feature films including Dear Evan Hansen and Tick, Tick, Boom! All of her original music can be found on all streaming platforms and her original musical, The Light Effect, is currently in development. She coaches & mentors young artists and is an activist promoting mental health support. Her performance is dedicated to her Granny: who first introduced Desi to the sound of — the importance of — music which ended up shaping Desi’s career and ultimately her entire life.
