Automotive Technician/Mechanic
We're hiring an experienced automotive medium and light duty vehicle mechanic/technician for growing shop in Berkeley. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and established automotive repair business. This is a long term hourly, full time, position (M-F, 8a-5p) with generous pay offering and a benefits package including health care coverage, dental and retirement plan.
Requirements and Duties:
Valid CDL/Class C license and clean driving record.
3+ years experience as a vehicle mechanic/technician to include passenger cars or trucks.
Follow a checklist of inspection procedures
Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they run smoothly.
Read and interpret diagnostic test results from diagnostic equipment such as an scan tool or oscilloscope.
Inspect engines and other parts of vehicles
Do routine maintenance, such as fluid services, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and parts Must take a back ground check.
Great communication skills.
Willingness to clean and maintain shop while waiting for the next job assignment
