Our 7th IHRA points race of the year.
Gates open at 1 pm.
Racing starting 3pm
$10 Gate fee. (Kids 12 under free)
$30 test/tune card called as a class

I57 Dragstrip this coming 3-4th of July. Friday test/tune. Separate Box and No Box classes and a great payout in Quick 16 sponsored by Mabry Racing.
Jr Dragsters as well. Doubles welcome.
Come spend the day with us. Gates at 9am. 1 time run (quick 16 will have 2). We will push this race along to be finished before dark so y’all can go enjoy some local fireworks.

Attention in the pits :

We are Hiring. We are looking for the right individual to come on board with I57 Dragstrip. This is a seasonal weekend position. Must be able to work long days on Friday and Saturday throughout the summer and fall.
Candidate must have valid drivers license and dependable transportation. Must be able to pass drug screen and clean appearance and show up on time.
Candidate needs either prior track experience or racing experience for this position. Competitive Pay based on experience.

Racers and fans.

I absolutely hate to post this. But we are at a 90 percent chance rain this afternoon with more coming at 8pm on. I cannot see having racers and fans spend money on gas to come with that percent and rain all around us.
I57 Dragstrip will be closed today. And before anyone gets upset, look at the radar and percents below. Just not gonna happen today.
Sorry, Mother Nature is not our fan !!!!

Regarding yesterday’s post on the Saturday racing times.

Thank you to everyone that chimed in. Donnie and I both reviewed all the responses and have came up with a decision that we think will work for most.

Starting this weekend June 13th through end of August :

Saturday Summer Hours
(Big $ races not included )

Gates open 1pm.
2 time runs starting at 3pm
Racing to follow.

All IHRA points races are and will be for every class 1st OR 2nd rd buyback.

We feel this change fall’s within the majority of response’s and will also allow spectators to come in the evening when it’s cooler.

Please read and double check these standings. You have until Sunday 06/14/26 to dispute before these points will be locked in for the season. Any issues please contact me directly.
Points are awarded as follows for the 26 season

10–show up (must take a tree)
10–each round won.
4 — bonus points for Semi-finals
6— bonus points for Runner Up
12—bonus points for overall win
