2004 Saturn Vue Redline. It’s an AWD, so it counts. Came in for timing belt and water pump kit, motor mounts, brakes, Check Engine Light, ABS Light, and the A/C didn’t work. We found a leaking shocks so those had to go too.

Always keep an apprentice around for those jobs you just don’t want to do. I mean, build character and expertise.

Back from the dead. 2013 LML duramax CP4 failure. It received a CP4 to CP3 conversion and disaster kit as well as an AirDog by PureFlow Technologies, Inc. from Lincoln Diesel Specialties. They have awesome tech and customer service. Also had to source a couple parts from Dmaxstore.

Doing some more 7.3 work. Customer didn’t not like the high EGTs and performance of this turbo. The Exhaust Back Pressure Valve was removed, but the factory pedestal was still installed. We replaced the factory pedestal with one from KC Turbos with one of their KC300x G3 stage 1 Turbos. Then tuned the engine with a Hydra chip from JeliBuilt Performance, LLC. Both of these companies have great customer service and have been awesome to deal with.

Fans running constantly on 2010 F-150, no A/C and a Check Engine Light for Cylinder Head Temp Sensor. A squirrel thought it was the perfect home under the intake, expect for that one wire in the way. New lower intake gaskets, and some wiring repair has this one back in the road.

Mobile mechanic call out. Usually we’d go to the offroad park to fix a rig, but today it was at the state park camp ground. These newer 5.3s are known for the coolant temp sensor failing and or wire damage at the plug. This will cause the engine fan to run at full rpm and stay on for a while after the engine is shutdown. This truck has had 2 aftermarket sensors installed within the last 10 months. Wiring is good, so an OEM sensor was installed.

Powertrain Products Inc arrival, 3 yr warrantied 4L60E for installation in a 2002 Silverado z71. It’s being installed in a truck for a young man turning 16 in the spring. It was his grandfather’s truck and now it will be his, once we get it moving again.
