We are heartbroken over yesterdays events at Silver Rail Elementary. Schools are supposed to be places of learning, fun, and safety. Now, Silver Rail will hold with it a memory of this tragedy.

We grieve with the families who lost loved ones in yesterdays events. We see you, and we share in your pain.

We love Bend, and have been so encouraged to see people in this incredible community supporting each other through this.

Deschutes County Health Services, St. Charles Health System, and Bend-La Pine Schools are partnering to host free, walk-in community support events today.

Event details:

Community Support & Healing Gathering (CSIM) at the Deschutes Public Library - Central Library. 10am-3pm today. Free and open to all community members.

Community Support & Healing Gathering (CSIM) at the Larkspur Community Center. 4pm-7pm today.

Deschutes Public Library: All Public library locations are open today. Bend La Pine schools is making crisis counselors and other forms of support available at the Central Library today.

Open Arts Center: Open today from 10am-2pm for families and community members. They have food, art supplies and music.

High Desert Museum: Offering free admission to the community today if you need a quiet place to walk, breathe and be together with community members.

Mountain River Counseling and Consulting: Clinic is open from 11am-2pm to the community.

Two Suns Art Studio + Makerspace: Partnering with Whimsy with Purpose to get art supplies and hands on tools for expression to Silver Rail families over the next few days. Follow Two Suns to learn more.

Mark your calendars if you’re in Bend for the 4th annual Literary Ghost Walk on Oct. 28th at the Deschutes Public Library Central Library!

“Ghosts of authors passed will be stationed throughout the library to tell you more about their works! Be careful as you walk through the stacks though - scares may lie around any corner!”

Do not fear though, ICYMI, the Central library is now open and the downtown location is set to open at the end of Spring! And we heard there are a lot of cool bookish stickers available at all of their locations currently 👀 maybe even some stickers that glow! ✨

You may have noticed that we offer both 'stickers' and 'decals'. While those terms are often used interchangeably, they mean something different at CarStickers.

Our printed stickers (like bumper stickers and sticker slaps) are traditional peel-and-stick stickers.

Our decals are different: once applied, there’s no background. Because of this, they arrive on a backing sheet with transfer tape on top. Transfer tape holds the individual elements of the design together and allows for easy application.

And we actually offer two types:

-Transfer Decals: Made from a single color of vinyl
-Printed Transfer Decals: Full-color printed designs with the same background-free look

This post is all about Printed Transfer Decals.

They sort of combine elements from both standard stickers and single color transfer decals. They’re printed on our durable standard vinyl, laminated (with your choice of matte or gloss lamination) for added protection against UV exposure, water and scratches, and applied using transfer tape.

They also take some extra care to make. After printing and laminating, the decal is cut and then our team uses tweezers to pull out the background elements, which are called 'transfer picks'. This process is also known as 'weeding'. After that transfer tape is applied.

Transfer decals require a different process than your standard peel and stick sticker slap. Need help installing your decals? Head over to our site to find installation guides, how to videos, and helpful tips and tricks to make application easier.
