We’re excited to share a big update that is helping us take another step towards ADAS excellence.

Revv has officially been acquired by Rotunda Capital Partners and is merging with AirPro Diagnostics, a Rotunda portfolio company, to create an end-to-end ADAS platform.

This brings together everything shops have needed for years, but never had in one place, closing a gap the industry has felt for a long time.

Combining Revv's technology with AirPro's calibration expertise allows us to bring the entire ADAS process into one platform, from start to finish.

Revv’s CEO, Adi Bathla, has stepped into the role of President and Chief Innovation Officer of the company and joins the Board, with Driaan DuToit serving as the combined company's CEO.

🚨 Ford Updates Its ADAS Collision Repair Requirements

Ford’s updated position statement makes one thing clear: no warning light or trouble code does not mean an ADAS system is properly aligned.

Ford considers a repair ADAS-related when it affects:

✅ A camera, radar or ultrasonic sensor
✅ A component that mounts or positions a sensor
✅ A bumper, grille, windshield or other part within a sensor’s field of view

For ADAS-related repairs, Ford requires a pre-repair scan, post-repair scan and all applicable calibrations—even when no warning lights or DTCs are present.

Ford also emphasizes the importance of OE parts and approved repair procedures. Aftermarket or previously repaired bumpers, grilles, sensors and windshields—as well as paint buildup, body filler, tint, PPF and accessories—may interfere with sensor performance.

The Calibration Guys can help identify calibration requirements, complete the necessary calibrations and provide documentation for your repair file.

🚨 Automatic Emergency Braking Is Becoming the Standard — and Proper Calibration Matters

By September 2029, new passenger vehicles and light trucks will be required to meet FMVSS No. 127, the federal performance standard for automatic emergency braking, pedestrian braking and forward-collision warning. NHTSA estimates the rule could prevent at least 24,000 injuries and save 360 lives annually.

AEB systems use forward-facing radar, cameras, lidar or a combination of sensors to detect vehicles and pedestrians. Radar is especially useful for measuring an object’s distance and closing speed, while cameras help identify what the object is.

That makes accurate ADAS service increasingly important. A radar sensor that has been moved during collision repair, bumper work or grille replacement may require aiming or calibration. Windshield replacement, wheel alignment and changes to vehicle ride height can also affect system performance.

At The Calibration Guys, we follow vehicle-specific OEM procedures to diagnose, calibrate and document these safety systems.

A warning light being off does not always mean the system is properly aimed. Calibration helps ensure the vehicle sees the road the way it was designed to.

This event was incredible! Thank you, Revv ADAS, for organizing it!

The first UAC Leadership Summit is officially in the books.

We welcomed attendees from 59 companies, with more than 40 traveling from out of state, and partnered with some of the most exciting players in the industry including Autel, National Calibration and Diagnostic Solutions, Burke Porter, OEC, and ALLDATA.

The goal of the Leadership Summit was simple: bring together shop owners, technicians, trainers, OEM representatives, and industry partners to learn from one another and have meaningful conversations about the future of ADAS.

What stood out most was how many conversations continued long after a session ended, with a consistent theme that shops everywhere are facing many of the same ADAS challenges, from training and documentation to workflow management.

Events like this reinforce the value of bringing the industry together to learn from one another, share expertise, and move the conversation forward.
