Advanced Autosports Specializing in building pro-built spec miata racing cars, race car prep, and on track support. Wheeler’s background has been everything from I.R.L. cars to I.T.

Dave Wheeler, owner of Advanced Autosports, has been involved in professional Motorsports since 1987. I started Advanced Autosports in 19997 to serve the amateur road racer with professional quality repairs and maintenance work, at an affordable price. cars. I started in open wheel Formula Atlantics and Formula Fords in 1987. In 1993 I began my long time association with the big ground pounders of

the Trans-Am series. In 2000 Advanced Autosports supported the Orion Motorsports team in the inaugural season of the Grand-American Road Racing Series. Competing in the AGT Class, several podium finishes and two pole positions where the highlights. Since that time, Advanced Autosports has built more than 100 Spec Miata race cars and currently we maintain more than 30 cars for local drivers.

Crazy weather tonight. A tornado touched down 2 miles south of the racetrack and baseball sized hail was seen a few miles to the north. Fortunately we just got bad storms, a lot of rain, and some smaller hail. Everyone is ok. Prayers for everyone in our area that wasn't so lucky.

The cars were fast this weekend. Unfortunately all the Advanced Autosports drivers were hungry for a drive-thru penalty so the results were not quite what we wanted. They all took turns putting in their order during the weekend. This group of drivers is super talented and fun to watch. We look forward to an amazing season.
