New cars leave the lot looking shiny. That shine is not ceramic.
Dealerships usually put on a thin PDI wax or a spray sealant so the truck beads a little on delivery day. It looks good in the photos. It does not last. Road film, pine pitch, bird droppings, and Vermont salt eat through it fast.
The best time to ceramic coat a vehicle is when it is new, before that factory dust and dealer product get baked in. We decontaminate first, correct what the lot already put in the paint, then lay down Gtechniq Crystal Serum. That is real protection, not a 30 day wax.

New F-150. Dealer did not ceramic this.
PDI wax is a costume. It beads for a week then dies. Factory clear is not a coating.
New paint is the cheap time to do it right. Decon. Correct the lot marks. Real ceramic. Then it actually sheds water.
