Junction of Route 71 and old 51 near Sweeney’s restaurant and gas station. The building across from Sweeney Restaurant was also owned by George Sweeney, but he would sell it to the Thompson family who still own it today. Picture taken in the early 1940’s.

RCFD units were dispatched to Finley Road for a Vehicle Accident-Entrapment. The 2nd party caller was unable to provide an exact location. Rostraver Twp Police Department located the vehicle and determined the occupant was confined due to the location of the car. Officers and firefighters assisted the occupant from the vehicle to be evaluated by Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services.

Wagon on scene of a Vehicle Accident-Class 2 on Interstate 70 East at Route 51. Rostraver West Newton Emergency Services evaluated the occupants of the vehicle on scene and fire crews cleared debris from the roadway.
