Not every customer is ready for the price tag of a brand-new roof, and we understand that.

For years, we've been cautious about recommending roof coatings because most are more like a thin layer of paint than a true roof solution. We didn't want to offer something unless we felt confident it could actually help protect the roof and give the customer value.

This new coating is roughly the same thickness as the original roof membrane, but costs a fraction of the price of a new roof. The finished result turned out great!

A new roof is still the right answer in some cases, but when the roof is a good candidate, this can be a solid option to extend the camper's life without the huge upfront cost.

Here are some pictures of a Bluetti RV5 LiFeP04 lithium system we recently installed. We added eight solar panels, an air conditioner powered directly by the battery, a touchpad control panel, an inverter, and two 48-volt lithium-ion battery packs. This was a serious upgrade for this slide-in camper!

This control board, located deep within a storage compartment, is part of a computer network in a modern motorhome. This network includes numerous touch screens that operate features like lighting and climate control.. Similar systems can also be found in fifth wheels, travel trailers, and horse trailers.

These systems are great until a single component on a circuit board fails. In this case, one of several boards lost its ability to control the water pump. We were able to send this board back to the network manufacturer for repair. However, they weren't able to repair the failed circuit. They were able to reassign another circuit to control the pump, and we relocated the pump wires.

Similar to passenger vehicles, many of these components are no longer produced after a few years and repair services are not always provided. In those situations, upgrading the entire system can be the only option.

Maintaining professional relationships with the manufacturers of these components is crucial for us. This often requires us to attend the manufacturer's training events. Without these relationships, we wouldn't be able to offer the full range of services we provide.

This camper has a foam-core floor that soaked up some rainwater. We repaired the damaged section, overlayed the traffic areas with tongue-and-groove OSB, and then installed new linoleum.
If your camper's model includes words like "Hyper Lite" or "Ultra Lite" or is described as lightweight, you likely have a foam-core floor. It doesn't take much water to pe*****te these floors and cause permanent damage. We recommend inspecting the roof sealant twice a year to help prevent this type of damage.

This poor thing fought off the weather as long as it could, but eventually the water made it through. With a new roof, this camper will last for many years to come!
