The “coatings” fad.
What was once synonymous with prestige and performance is now being diluted to meaningless lipstick on a pig.
Rest assured if you are buying a used bike or coated suspension set with our sticker, it’s the real deal.
We do not participate in the fashion industry, we’re laser focused on balancing performance, practicality and durability.
No other menu options.
Hobbies are a bit impractical by definition, so it’s tough taking a hard stance on something that brings excitement to people about their hobby like colorful bikes or replicating factory bikes looks (without the performance) but there becomes a point where there can be such a gross misunderstanding and misrepresentation that performance and reliability is no longer talked about and preserved.
We are to that point, and we will not be joining that fashion movement.
If you are in the used bike market or shopping for extra suspension sets we recommend you think twice about buying any bike or suspension with “works” “A-Kit” or “coatings”. Ask for receipts and build specs which might help clarify, but there are even people using trademarked terms of proprietary processes like “Kashima” to describe their product that is simply “brown”. So even on a sales receipt, there could be blatant misrepresentation.
While we hate to be the downer that won’t play along with this culture of pretend performance, it’s even a bigger downer when we have to break the news to honest hard working people that they got completely ripped off with cheap imitations.
What the helle, man.
